The key word there is "used" to.  It's now considered culturally unacceptable.  Call it what you like, I hate Batarians.  Always have, always will, and there's nothing anyone can say to make me think otherwise.

Well that still makes you a racist.

Also dumb for not considering that slavery is culturally acceptable for them just a propaganda.

Propaganda by whom? The Bactrian government or the Citadel or who?

Propaganda from Batarian government.
I don't think they will appreciate that idea of freedom gets known by their people.

By that they are putting Batarians in line and making other species hate them or just not care by thinking that's true.

Racist people are dumb? and here I thought I was the only one here that used rhetoric on a regular basis lol.

With regards to ME3, I personally would rather see Bioware expand on the characters they already created rather then building up a new squad. It would be nice to maybe have fan favorites like Captain Anderson, Kal'Reegor, Aria, or a few others be optional squadmates, but as far as exposition and gameplay goes, I would prefer to have the entirety of the ME1/ME2 squad return.

Don't judge another culture by the standards of your own.

Ok Legion we get it lol...Again, Im not denying Im racist, against Batarians.  At any point did you see me say Im "not".  As Ive said before, the difference between me and most people is for starters, I know my personality is flawed and never, at any point in my entire life, tried to deny or hide that I am indeed human and indeed flawed.  So, instead of trying to "cover up" my flawed nature, I embrace it and accept it as a part of my personality.  My wife loves me for it, ironically lol.  Sorry, but I just dont have the pacifist belief that everyone in the world should hold hands and get along with no fighting.  Why? Because it's a childish and naive belief that will never happen.  At no point, will everyone in the world, get along with everyone else in the world.  Sorry, just simply wont happen.

So as a human being, it is my right to judge an entire culture based on my own beliefs.  So yea, you can guarantee any chance my Shepard gets, he's gonna put a round in between a Batarian's eyes.   And now, I can think of your post every time he does it. Image IPB

Urgh. Really, guys -- if you don't like a Batarian squaddie, don't recruit ('cos I do really think that Batarian squadmate should be delivered with an option not to recruit him). Do not recruit, ok? Just don't whine about mean Batarians killing all your family and torturing puppies.

My Shepard is a girl and she doesn't whine about Akuze and about how 'evil' TIM is 'cos he attempted to feed some Thresher Maw with Shepard in question.

Which is fine as long as said Batarian member is in fact say, a DLC character or optional in some other way.  As I said during my first post on the matter lol.  That way I can just avoid the character all together.  That way, slaver sympothizers can have their way, and everyone else who doesnt want the squaddie, doesnt have to.

You'll probably get the recruit-or-nuke option, a la Legion.

Is there a official "I want Batarian as squadmate" thread and it's serious one?

Cause if not, there should be.

There were several ones; I've taken part in at least two of them during the last three month. Not sure they could've been called 'official', though. =)

Kaidan or Ashley depending on ME1 save are almost a guarantee in ME3, im expecting some "regain trust" mission or situation either in the next dlc or the next game. I was afraid that all of my squadmates would be replaced regardless of my playthrough (saved them all), because everyone played the game differently so i guess this is how its going to be. You will have new squad mates choices. a hole new crew that could replace the old one, kaidan or ashley and the guys that survived the suicide mission you will have the choice to either let them go or be replaced by a new squad mate that could have the same or similar skill set. The replaced squadmate will go then fight alongside their race or do their business to help fight the reapers somewhere else.I really respect the guys at bioware for putting themselves in such a hard place on the development process with all these choices, it must be a nightmare to try to cover all the bases but no doubt ME3 will rock. No one gets left behind!

If Wrex rejoins your squad, and Grunt survived the suicide mission, I think you'll get your wish! :-)

We need Niftu Cal, the Volus from Samara's recruitment mission. After all he's a 'Biotic god'.

And that, children, is why God created replays.

But seriously:

1. There may be one or two new characters, but I'm not counting on it.
2. I highly doubt there'll be new love interests. I think the ones from previous ME's will deepen, sort of like they did between Baldur's Gate II and Throne of Bhaal.

Yeah Bioware already have a lot on their plate because they already have to connect all the dots so they make sense with what you did previously. And by now there's like 50 different possible LI/Rachni/Wrex/Council/AshKaidan outcomes in ME3. If they added even more romances that would be a ****load of work and would probably amount to glitches that they don't have time to clean up.
I'd rather have a clean game with no new LI's than a glitchy annoying unfinished one with 5 new LI's.

For the simple fact that, it is possible to kill the majority of your squadmates, and still keep Shepard alive, it would be extremely challenging to bring back the majority of the team from ME2. Likewise, there will be a great deal of inconsistency with regards to the status ME1 squadmates. It is possible to have the only persons left alive by ME3 to be either Kaiden/Ashley, Liara and one squadmate from ME2. Given this scenario, you could still import a living Shepard into ME3. Every other squadmate may potentially be dead either in ME2 or ME1.

Given this scenario, would we be expected to play through ME3 with only 3 squadmates? It is possible, but it seems unlikely.

Rather, I expect ME3 to revolve around a Dragon Age:Origins motif. Your goal is to recruit an army to defend earth and fight the reapers. Your decisions throughout the Mass Effect trio will determine what races are recruitable, and who you engage during each recruitment mission. I would expect to see many "guest team members" during these recruitment missions if they were alive after ME2. This would be similar to Liara in Shadow Broker. For example, if you recruit the Geth, Legion will be a guest team member.

As a result, all new team members seems most logical
