Stats for a backstabbing Rogue?

My main is a mage and it's pretty simple, magic & willpower and lots of it. A rogue though... Does cunning help damage? Does strength? Or only Dexterity? Enlighten me please.
Oh and am I daggers only? Or any single handed weapon?

daggers usualy do more +backstab damage, as for rogues you need a little bit of str for armor, dexterity for damage, and cunning is for lock picking, stealing and that sort of stuff

Rogue have a spec that makes sure that ur damage multiplier relies on cunning instead of str.
Which makes cunning the most important spec to put points in, since dex doesnt increase dagger damage(except if u get the dagger hotfix mod). What I recommend when u are making a double wielding rogue for backstabbing, is to put max 22 str. for armour and being able to use two axe's (major armour penetration) and about equally spread points between dex and cunning, dex for making sure ur evasion is high so u dont receive much damage and cunning to do lots of damage,
to increase armour penetration, trap detection and persuade bonus ^^
Specials I chose Duelist and Assassin, especially Duelist brings nice bonus's.
