Star Wars's ending sucked (the original movies). Man, Im so confused I don't even know which is the real ending to the trilogy! Who makes a movie backwards anyway!?

I'm guessing you haven't seen Memento?

Me-what? I don't think I wanna know....

Basically, the whole movie plays out in reverse-chronological order. Great movie -- I cannot recommend it enough.

Anyways... sorry for going off-topic, people.

I said I did not want to know.... sounds like a bad movie if you remember the name but not the plot.

Jak and Daxter Trilogy had a pretty neat ending IMO.

Until the spin-off ruined the series. I own all three games (first ones) and I loved them. The racing ones was.... ok I guess. The Ratchet and Clank series was good too but was rapidly milked. For me, that one ended in the second game.

I never played the spin-offs. I don't really count those games.

Now that you mention Ratchet, I found ACiT a nice ending to the Future series though even though I like the PS2 games better.

I never played after the 3r one (it was really bad) on the PS2. I heard the PS3 ones were good. Would have liked to play them, but im on the 360 and times are tough (all games on the PS3 suck, buying it just for one series would have been a waste).

You thought Ratchet and Clank: UYA was really bad? Mmm... I liked it quite a bit.

It's probably been said before, but...

...title of the thread should be "Trilogies that ended well?"

I'm usually not a snobby grammar policeman, but this one is really bothering me.

LOTR is the most boring movie ever. I saw the first one for 30 minutes before giving up.

Uh, the Sergio Leone movies are three stand-alone titles with the same character.

Man, you didn't like LotR, UYA, Memento, or Return of the Jedi? Do you also dislike Avenue Q, Kinghts of the Old Republic, Home Movies, and Pixar? Are you perhaps the anti-me? Well... that would be only possible if you were a big fan of Epic Movie.

Anyway-- things such as Lord of the Rings and Star Wars have already been mentioned numerous times, so of course there's the obvious ones. One of my personal favorite trilogies is Phoenix Wright, a video game trilogy which I truly believe is the perfect example of what a trilogy is supposed to be. All three games stand on their own just fine, while every game passed the first rewards the player for having played the previous games with several references and remarks referring to them. On top of this, the trilogy still manages to have an overaching story arc among all three of them and yet still manages to put the minimum amount of spoilers of passed games in each one. On top of that, they're just amazing. I believe I read something in a review once that said it perfect: "The characters are ridiculously memorable."

I am surprised at all the people saying "The Godfather". I like to pretend that part 3 doesn't even exist.

Am I the only one that loved Ewoks? Maybe it's because I still remember watching all three OT movies as a five year old with my Dad.

O wait, I'm 18 now; sorry guys. "Yeah stupid Ewoks, they are so dumb, for little kids, yeah, btw i'm 18 and cool. screw the fluffies!"
