I hope that as many players tried Fragments of Ferelden as one of their first Dragon Age modules, many players will enjoy The Broken City in the last week before Dragon Age 2!
Thanks go out to everyone kind enough to test the early versions of the module, and especially to the level artists of Community Contest #1, whose talented work forms the backbone of the Broken City.
CLOSE THE CIRCLE
The Broken City is a 5 hour continuation of Fragments of Ferelden, taking a full party to level 20 through more involved quests, challenging and intricate boss encounters and all new areas.
Not only does it extend the story of your Templar, but it completes the story begun in Dirge of Coldhearth. You will be the instrument of vengeance one hundred years in the making.
New Thedas stands on the brink of famine. The Broken City cries out for a saviour. You are the hero whose might will forever shape the history of your people.
CONTINUE YOUR HERO'S TALE
The Broken City is an add-in to Fragments of Ferelden, continuing where you left off after the defeat of the Darkspawn Alpha. Your Templar will take the lead of a full party of heroes and journey beyond New Thedas into the Broken City, a realm wholly unlike the confined darkness of the Deep Roads.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Broken City can only be accessed from the Fragments of Ferelden module. You must have Fragments of Ferelden installed to play.
FEATURING COMMUNITY LEVEL ART
Where Fragments of Ferelden reused DA:O level art, The Broken City features level art created by the Dragon Age modding community:
AmstradHero ("Hillside Village")
Talisander ("Village By The Sea")
Princecorg ("Sylvhaven")
Lord of Fangs ("Hakkon's Gift")
Ponozsticka ("The Swamp")
TimelordDC ("Evermist")
Turtlecrunch ("Ojardsi")
All non-Bioware level art in this module is community content made freely available for the BSN Community Contest #1 (http://social.biowar...ettlement_Level)
Without the Community Contest, this module would not have been possible. I owe an enormous debt to the talented artists who graciously donated their work as part of the contest, as well as the Community Contest team for organising it, and to everyone who has entered any of the contests and made the Dragon Age Origins mod scene a better place. Thank you!
