This was briefly mentioned in my other thread here, but I thought it deserved it's own thread since I'm looking for anyone with answers. Thing is, at least in the demo, in the graphics options you only have options for a DX9 or a DX11 renderer and it just seems odd to me that the devs would use features from DX11 but none from DX10? Of course, it's also possible (and likely) that the choice for renderer is really just there for those who want to disable the DX11 features and that as up choose higher detail settings you ARE in fact using DX10 features, it just never explicitly states it. So, does anyone know if the game uses DX10 or just skips right over it to DX11, or, perhaps, know of a way to test if DX10 is being used? Like maybe certain features to look for that couldn't be done in DX9?

Somewhere, a Bioware person said that you don't get the option for "High" Image Quality settings unless you have either Dx10, or Dx11, and the "Very High" will only become available when you have Dx11.

As Gorath said, you can turn on the "DirectX 11 Renderer" and use the "High" setting if you only have DirectX 10. "Very High" requires full DirectX 11.
