To end a trilogy as epic as Mass Effect we are going to need an amazing ending. I think to give the trilogy what it deserves it would need at lest...

-The happy paragon ending, reapers destroyed, the races of the galaxy united, Cerberus in ruin, fluffy bunnies running everywhere and ewoks signing and shooting fire works.

-The renegade ending, reapers dead or enslaved under Cerberus control, humanity rules over the galaxy.

-The in the middle ending; something that is a mix of the paragon and renegade endings.

-The failure/empty win ending. Without a real chance of failure susses is meaningless. We need one ending where if you make a lot of bad choices the reapers win or you get an empty win where the reapers are destroyed but at too high of a cost to feel like a real win.

Without a minimum of that many endings I just don't think the trilogy would get what it deserves and of course each ending would need a few variations, even if minor, based of the many choices you have made through out the
trilogy.

Above and beyond that minimum I would love to see something like the ending of DAO, where you are allowed to speak to each of you teammates and many of the games important NPCs and there responses are based what
kind of ending you choose how you treated them throughout the game,  butexpanded.  After the credits you would find yourself a cabin on an Alliance ship, Cerberus ship, Liara's apartment on Ilium, a specter's apartment on the citadel or something similar based the choices you made, and there you could contactold teammates and view/read news reports that reflect the ending you picked.

So what do the rest of you want? What would you be content with or want in ME3's ending?

The emporer rises and declares Earth Holly Terra! *High Pitch Squealing voice* Shepard in Power Armor, hurraaayyyyy!.

But seriously I would love to see a deep view or explanation of how the other races react to the defeat or victory of the reapers. Who knows, maybe Shepard's ancestor was the caveman the prothean's experiemented on, now he is a new anti-reaper prothean, lol.

The idea of shepard dies no matter what is floating around in my head, making for a great number of spinoffs where different crews and alliance/cerberus groups finish what he started. Oh so many paths bioware could go.

^^ This. I want blue children, dammit!
Oh, the final part has to be an epic slow-motion walk, with Shepard passing through a huge battle with destruction everywhere, slowly walking towards an ancient beacon of light.
There needs to be a huge dilemma at the end. Maybe something like this: You either let humanity live on in Reaper form, or sacrifice Earth to save the rest of the galaxy. As long as there's no perfect ending that everybody would choose. I hope there's some way Shepard and most of the main characters can survive though. I want to be able to continue the game after the story ending.

There need to be multiple, multiple endings:

Paragon Ending: You play the game as a Paragon, you defeat the Reapers and live happily ever after. Everyone for the most part is happy.

Renegade Ending: You defeat the Reapers as a Renegade. You could live happily ever after but some may have a sour taste in their mouth.

That said, vice versa can and should apply where necessary with said endings.

Other Possibilities:

Reapers Win: They're 50,000,000-0 for a reason.

Shepard Dies: What's to say Shepard doesn't make the ultimate sacrifice at the end of the game to ensure victory? He/She seems like the type who is ready and willing to put it all on the line to ensure that the galaxy is saved.

Galactic Stability: You may win, but what is the political state of the galaxy after such a cataclysmic battle? Good for humanity? Bad for humanity? What happens to the states of the other races? Are they in good shape after the war? Or are they confined to picking up the pieces.

Reapers Enslaved: They are machines. What's to say they can't be reprogrammed? Imagine having a fleet of Reapers at your command? You cannot be opposed.

Rachni invading the galaxy and forcing the Citadel races into a bitter galaxy-wide war would be fun.
Although I personally hope for a little sweet ending with your LI. Well, depending on who your LI is (Thane might not be eligible for that one). Also, I dunno why but it somehow feels like Zaeed would make a good sacrifice-guy.

I'm imagining they're going to do something alike DA:O endings, whereas they have something for each issue and squad mate.

a coold renegade option would be to join the reapers at the very end of the game, kinda like saren.

a paragon ending could be to disapear with your LI.

We find out that the Reapers were the creation of a long dead race, who integrated themselves into their own machines. Think of the golems in DA:O. But then the new intelligent Reapers decided that all their creators deserved to be ascended and forcibly did so.

At the end of renegade ME3, I want to see the Reapers defeated, humanity strong but alone. I want to see Cerberus building their own Reaper, strongly hinting that we're going to just start the cycle back up again.

That... is actually a really good idea!
Always one to enjoy bitter irony.

With all the Tali love I would die from shock if BioWare didn't give some option like that.

I'll die of shock if you can actually do it.

Your opinion of course, but I think your hate for a certain character shouldn't affect what you think others should be able to do.
For example, I hate Miranda. Do I want Bioware to make it so that you kill her no matter what? No. Because I know people like her and it's not my place to say what they should be able to do with their favourite character.

I don't hate Tali, I just see her as the little sister of the team. And not LI material. I don't hate any character and Miranda is my LI. Everyone survived the SM.

I don't want the happy paragon ending to be easy to achieve, but I want it to be there. I also want the player to feel a bit stressed, but not too much, it's a game after all.

Bad ending:  The galaxy burns.

Pyrrhic ending:  Galaxy is saved, but relay network completely trashed and Citadel destroyed.  Galaxy is safe, but everyone must find their own seperate destinies now.

Best ending:  Shepard drives off into the sunset with Ash, in a Mako.

Why should the paragon ending be the only hard one? I want the renegade ending to be fun too. Or at least the paragade one. And it all ends up on choices after all. ME1's, ME2's and ME3's will all play along and I hope it's not just ME3's and that's it. What would have been the point of playing the first 2 games then? Screw new time players, I want my choices to matter.

I don't like Liara but I agree.  Part of the ending should at the very least hint towards some of the things you've discussed with your LI's over the past 3 games, and not just Liara.  If you wanted some blue babies, you should get one lol.  Even if it's a short dialogue that could change depending on your conversations, it should happen.

I also want to see what happens to the rest of my crew.  After all, I'm not the only person on the Normandy.
