You'd probably have to create a bunch of new Facebook accounts to do that.fredward55 wrote...
So we just have to click share 1,0000 times
But there's no reason why you can't have a bunch of different Facebook accounts. I have three (none get used for anything Facebook ever intended).

No you don't. Just need to get as many impressions as possible ie views of the page.

The Revenge of the Refresh Monkeys?
That said, and if I understood correctly, there are other ways of doing it...

Why do you care whether this violates Facebook's policies? If it does then Facebook will smack EA and a different method of unlocking the item will quickly be devised.
And regardless, it doesn't violate those policies that you posted. For starters this is not a "sweepstakes, contest, competition or other similar offering" so this wouldn't be governed by these policies. Even if they were there is no entry through Facebook so the first one is out. The second one is out for the same reason. Entry only occurs through Bioware's site and/or the DA2 demo.
Why not?
I have to disagree. This is a competition, just like any other competition (promotion, sweepstakes, give-away, whatever you want to call it). We (Non participants included) win the prize if we manage to get to the aquired goal by using means that are (as far as I can see) in violation of the promotion guidelines of facebook. Why do you want to know why I care? If you value my intent so much, I
must say I'm flattered. However it doesn't really matter, does it? I just think that this should've been thought alot more through by EA and Bioware before making such a competition. Especially considering Facebook has such strict guidelines on this issue.
It's not a competition because we're not competing. It's a challenge because we're being challenged. And we're not required to post anything, as I said before, this challenge can be completed simply by refreshing Dragon Age 2's facebook page. Requiring users to visit a page, even requiring users to like a page, is clearly stated in the rules to be an acceptable means of entry. Which, by the way, there is none here. We are not signing up to anything through facebook, merely counting up pageviews. If there is any form of entry, as Ranadiel said, it would be through the Bioware website or through Dragon Age. But there's not entry, because those who enter are not given a prize, those who do not are not given a prize. But if the goal is achieved, the game is then altered to include bonus items. That's BASICALLY what's happening. Truly, they're not breaking any rules. They may be flirting with the thin line between encouraged and frowned upon, but they're nowhere near breaking any rules outright. <_<

I stick by my opinion, and see no reason to rephrase it once again. Call it what you may, it still falls under the promotional guidelines. It is, at best, on the very edge of what Facebook may allow (if you read their guidelines, they are pretty strict). But who knows, Bioware may have contacted, and gotten approval for this competition (edit> however nothing so far supports this). Perhaps the 'higher' powers can enlighten us on this issue.

What I did was make it visible to only a certain group of friends, using facebook's customized friends lists. I was able to make sure that only my Dragon Age: Legends friends are able to view the post
