I knew exactly what I was quoting, the fans did put in the effort but in no way did the fans reach the million, the clock was rolled forward by Bioware/EA in the last moments, you don't go from 800000 to 1000000 in a few hours with clicks of 10 to 20 per 15 seconds. The demo was a long shot, but we did it
I don't really care that they rolled the clock, it just irks me to see the fans pat themselves on the back for nothing.

And those clicks didn't count console users, which could have easily counted 200k+

My EA account and my Facebook account are on separate e-mail addresses. I took part in the Facebook 'campaign' but have no way of proving that it seems... I agree with Chris' sentiment about only rewarding the people who took part, and not the whiners, but looks like I wont be getting the item either. Oh well <_<

Chill Brosky, you don't even know how they're going to notify people yet. Maybe they's send everyone who shared the game an FB message with a promo code.
Keep hope alive, friends. Keep it alive.

Agreed, I think Bioware are bunch of good guys and like to reward their fans. They will figure out a way to help those of us who tried I bet!...err... I hope.

We have discussed this in the thread many times. The counter had to be updated manually from the consoles and other sites (which are not counted automatically). The Monday it was updated to 1 million was after a weekend of no manual updates at all. The count change is 100% plausible.

Guys I was thinking about this for those of us in the states (sorry foreign countries) can we demand for gamestop to give out midnight releases just like for halo and call of duty. I mean we beat the challenge and almost double the amount needed. Id say this game is pretty popular enough to do it. What you guys think?
Midnight releases work on how many preorders a shop has.
Shop A has the minimum amount of preorders for a midnight release, it'll do it.
Shop B in the same town doesn't, no midnight release.

Man, I hope they give it to everyone. I mean, that's what they did with the demo promotion. Why be inconsistent?
Edit: And anyway, if they're gonna wait till the promotion is over to tell us whether or not everyone gets the item, then there'd be no point in not giving it to everyone because giving the item only to Facebook contributors only acts as an incentive for people to do it.
If the promotion ends and they give the item only to Facebook users, then all they get is forum anger. THere is literally no benefit for Bioware to exclude non-Facebook people under this scenario.
