An impression is not the same as a like. Every person who saw the shared message you sent is an impression, even if they didn't like it.

I'm happy it worked out, yes.

I haven't complained at all, but I didn't take part because I neither have nor want a Facebook account (strong privacy discussion about Facebook ongoing here in Germany, even in politics).

The one thing that's making me sad a bit is that some seem to want to make us non-Facebook people feel like we're no real Bioware fans and that those who participated in the Facebook challenge are truer fans.

I would have loved to help, just couldn't go there. I did take part in the Demo challenge and am huge fan of Bioware games since 2002.

I just don't want to be laughed at or getting told others were better just because they do Facebook and I don't. For me It's punishment enough that I won't be able to play DA Legends because of this.

I feel sad... I think I need a hug...

What got unlocked and why/how? How does it affect thos of us who are playing on facebook, and those of us who are dedicated DA players? I have preordered DA ii, CAN'T WAIT! Finished the DEMO, so I have the RAZOR, I get the Shield of Orlais and the Fade Shear Sword for pre-ordering, what are these tomes everyone is talking about???

This.  If you shared the post, every person you are friended with on facebook scrolled past it in their feed. That counts as an "impression", I believe, because someone's eyes saw it. Now we have three unlockable things at the start of the game

basically some contests happened where we were challenged, we succeed, and everyone with a EA account got 3 DLC items

Impressions are how many people can potentially receive your post on Facebook. For instance, they post a link that reaches 350,000 people and 5,000 people repost the link, and each of them have 130 friends, then that's a million impressions right there. (350k from DA, 650k from reposts).
