We aren't being forced to participate dypa40k, which is what the held at gunpoint phrase implies. We are being used to market the game and we are being rewarded for that with an in-game item. It's not some super evil scheme, it's just a marketing tool that's intended to engage the fans and have them actively advertise the product. Four days of spamming my friends is too much, however a single day of Facebook spam would've been reasonable. Either way our constructive feedback is helpful to the dev for future marketing plans. In the meantime I shall continue to spam my friends despite my feelings about the challenge because I love me some DLC;p

Anyway - you ARE being used for advertisement. But on the other hand you are not being used for advertisement, you are knowingly advertising for benefit.
