Umm.... I used a different email on Facebook... My spam email, actually.

I wanted to keep my normal Facebook separated from DAL, as I teamed up with others so that I still would have some privacy without everyone knowing my real life name. So I basically had to use my spam mail for the DAL Facebook account.

There are also fans who never complained but has no access to facebook, or did not want to spam their friends because they are not gamers. I would say it's unfair for those people.

that sound slike a dick move if bioware only gives it to people who use facebook.. no everyone is going to go create a account just to spam people plus when you create a account you have no friends to spam you have to invite them and that takes a couple days for them to accept you maybe i'm wrong cause i don't use facebook. whatever the case i'll play it with or without the third book.

I'm not disagreeing but how would you know who took part?  [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/uncertain.png[/smilie]  Especially if some didn't use the same email addresses as thy had on Facebook.

Penalizing the fans who make your demo download a success while fracturing your community into the Facebook and non-Facebook groups sounds like a great idea.

Wow. Everyone flips out about marketing, then as soon as this is said, you all start talking about email and that problem. Its too bad that you didn't post the links everyday or don't have a Facebook. You just don't get the item. I hope they do it that way. If you complain more than you fight for this game and company, you aren't a fan. Without fans letting friends see the game, sales wont rise and Dragon Age 3 could never exist. Please help BioWare move forward And stop putting such a great company down.

If only the biggest nerds who are only friends with other gamers spammed it.... it wouldn't be reached... so those people who were 'too cool' can deal with it. imo

Incidentally, to those people saying they don't have FaceBook accounts: how is it different from not taking part in another campaign?

I won't be getting the Ring of Whispers because I'm not ordering goods from epicweapons, and I won't be getting The Irons because I'm not pre-ordering from the EA store. I have got Sir Isaac's Armor, because I bought Dead Space 2.

It seems fair to me that if you're not on FB, or chose not to take part, you don't get the book.

No-one ever said that all players would or should get all promotional items.

Many people just see it as improper to send things to friends they may not be interested in (spamming).  Comes down to manners and curtesy, that should not be confused with complaining and not participating to make sure the challenge doesn't succeed.

people that did that still dont deserve to get it. only the ones who helped. they shouldnt get a pass just because it conflicted with their principles.

i say its 100% fair to give it only to the people that helped if you didnt help why do you deserve it? what did you do? sit on your ass and complain about everything and now you want it? tbh i doubt they will do it that way but i think they should if you wanted it you should of helped us people like that are whats wrong with america they just complain complain complain and never help out but still expect everything to be givng to them for doing nothing it really pisses me off and besides posting one link on your facebooks wall a day thats not spamming noone said you had to send it to every friend just post it on your wall you already spam your friends with all your useless updates about hey i took a poopie and dumb stuff like that so whats one link about something that really interestes you if your friends hate you for sharing something you really like then well

I could care less about the book, I was just explaining why some people don't like spamming others.
