We are tallying up the numbers and arguing if the target is reached to make it available to everyone or just to those fans on Facebook would have helped reach teh goal. Personally, I am in favor of rewarding those who took part, not people who complained and didn't help.

When we know whether the goal was reached and who will or will not get the item, we will let people know.

If BioWare rewards those who made an attempt and "helped" by liking and sharing each days post the logistics should be interesting since the facebook accounts are not necessarily tied into the EA account emails - I guess BioWare would have to send unique unlock codes to each facebook account who "liked" and "shared" each of the facebook posts? It makes my head spin... (I'm glad this is not my promotion, but I surely would like the new 'enchanting' book, being a little compulsive about keeping my low-level characters alive (without reloading) until they can fend for themselves (the more goodies the better).

And, since I signed up for 2 facebook accounts; one for doing this promotion and one to play DA Legends Beta (when I figured out the email needed to be linked to my EA account); I definitely want the goodies (or cookies, or ....)!!!

I love the human imperfection of a company that maps out every character's choice in a huge story line but does not map out the if/then conditions for the promotions, LOL!

Agreed 100%.
to many people want something for nothing, now if they want it, they have to work for it.Posted Image

Yeah I agree 100% to it's only fair. Just blows that I will get left out to since I forgot all about this HaHa.:P

I disagree. While it may seem unfair to those who participated(myself not among them), it was not apart of the orginal challenge. A challenge that was not very clear to begin with, but it never stated that the only way to get the DLC was to share the facebook wall post.

However it is just a DLC, so nobody needs to get all worked up about it!Posted Image

A little, actually. Every single fan doesn't visit these forums, after all.

Guys, you are pointing fingers at poor, little Bioware who has nothing to do with the current situation - Facebook is the true mastermind behind this scheme.

Edit - I know because -

Ser Otto: "I sense great evil here".

1)Do you need help?
2) OMG what happened to your eyes?!
3) (Templar) I sense it too

facebook is all about spamming others, its the system the site is built around, doing it with dragon age is hardly different than anything else you can do on facebook.

i linked everything that went on that page since the first day, sometimes several times because i wasnt sure what happened on the 3rd, i got 0 messages from people complaining because they are used to all that Xville spam.

As someone who does not use Facebook, I say let the Facebookers have it. I did not participate therefore I do NOT deserve it. Non Facebookers have no right to the item if they did not participate.

Priestly mentioned it on day 1 of the challenge. I think it's in the other thread on the general forum, just look at the BW posts.

I'm interesting in knowing where the "line" goes for helping out, and not helping out. I will gladly admit i thought this last challenge was a stupid one, but i still shared/liked the first post on FB anyway, but decided not to do so on the remaining 3 days.
Does that leave me in a lesser position then people who "helped" all 4 days, even thou i still helped.. Cos' frankly yeah i wouldn't mind that book.

I don't really care about the tome, this eruption of giveaway dlc is getting on my nerves and I don't use facebook.
Well what I don't get are these people complaining about people who may get the item without selling their soul on facebook.
You should learn to grant others something instead of being just selfish.
Hell, if someone from Bioware would offer me to disclaim the tome just that all the others, or even a few could get it, I would do it right away.

I don't know why they can't grant others free stuff, but it's kind of sad.

In all fairness, I would like to add that it would have been better to figure out whether or not you were gonna give it to everyone or not and told us when the promotion was launched.  That's my opinion anyway.  Not taking either side here.

Yep. Mostly I find the expression kind of self-glorifying in itself ("we, the fans, are the BASE your business is built on!!!1111) + it's generally used as a hyperbolic alternative for "me".

Now, I hope I'm going to get this bonus item, but I suspect that in a couple of months a new DA2 character is going to be positively deluged in all kings of startup gear - as with DAO - so I'm not getting upset over an item or two (any longer). :)

Can they see all who have clicked share on facebook? And do we get a code in our inbox on facebook?
