They want 1,000,000 page views per day.  So if I share it, any of my friends who see my share and click on it will count towards the 1,000,000.  Since there are 330,000ish people who've "liked" the DA facebook page, if everyone of those shares the post, they each need three of their friends to click the share post on their wall.

I think that's how it works anyway.

If you are talking about the books then yes. But if you are talking about the sword then no. You have to play the demo on the PS3 version to get the sword for your PS3.

50k shares each on the days of their posting like on the
facebook  wall pic sounds much more reasonable....

A month from now Dragon Age 3 launches, but if you want to unlock the Game Endings you need to buy at least ten t-shirts and crunch your nieghbor with a Nug Crusher. For every millon t-shirts/crushings we unlock one of the five possible endings. A monumental task is before us!

Let me start by proclaming my love for Bioware and Dragon Age.

That said, I sincerely disapprove this new form of advertisement. I did share the Demo dowload event, because I thought it was informative and useful, and yes, because I thought it was a fun event.
But I simply do not like the idea of posting on my friend's pages Bioware's advertisement, I know many are simply not interested at all (and who is interested alrealy likes Dragon Age page, so no need to share). Sharing this kind of things won't help at all. I can understand the idea behind this marketing strategy, but it won't work...you do not need this to sell more. If I talk to my friends of how much I like the game, what can I do with my hero, why I like the story and so on...yes, this works. Posting some random stuff everyday on their Facebook page will just probably give a wrong impression of the company and look silly.
I do not know what the tome is for, but I do not think it is worth it...

Callow, check your promotions, I already have the two items and I have never played the demo.

So the book unlocks new runes for the character to use, as said by Priestly on the othwper thread in general discussion. This is great news!
