My PC havent been up to date since BG2 so I'm getting it for 360. I don't care about mods and keyboard hotkeys, but I will miss the tactical view and the toolset (not in creating, I dont have that kind of time, but in playing user generated content).



My hope is that Bioware will release the best user generated content in a Xbox Live DLC...



Also I do prefer gaming on TV over a monitor, I feel more like gaming so to speak... and less like working.

(1) If you're constrained by budget, get the game on the 360. It's cheapest.
(2) If quality of graphics is very important to you, get the game on PC, and upgrade your PC as necessary. If this is too expensive, see #1.
(3) If comfort while playing is a big concern, get the game on whatever platform you have that gives you the most comfortable playing environment. This is most likely to be a console in front of a TV.
(4) If none of the above really apply to you, get the game on PC because the control system will be more powerful and you will get access to more DLC.

At the end of the day, make your choice for your reasons. Just because someone else makes a different choice, it doesn't mean you should feel threatened about your choice, and there's really no need to be belligerent about this.

Ok man, good for you, everyone that owns a console according to your post lacks intelligence, really mature.
We all have opinions none of which have to be agreed to, but taking a poke at anyone who owns or may in this case prefer a different piece of hardware just because you feel PCs are the best thing ever, is really unproductive, and it just proves my point further.
There are way too many people here who feel because in their opinion their hardware is better than anyone elses that it makes them indeed better than everyone else as a person as well, an elitist mindset isnt going to get you anything but shrugs, and rolled eyes.

And as far as the upscaler "opinion" for that particular movie is my opinion, not yours. Not everyone looks at a painting or work of art and sees the same thing, everyone is different, that's why there are options and choices to go with whatever "you" feel is the way to go. Same thing with music, books, games, for **** sake life isnt interpreted the same way by all. If I said a more recent title like Transformers looked close to the same video quality of Blu Ray then even though it would be my opinion(in which case it's not) I'd understand a debate.

But like I said everyone has an opinion either take it for what it's worth make a an observation from your point of view like"I see what you mean, I just dont share the same opinion with you", something like consoles are crap, the people who are intelligent know this, is just stupidity and asking to start a whole bunch of ****.

So nice attempt to start a flame in here after it was thought to have been put out.
So go and slanderize and belittle and whatever else you feel a PC elitist needs to do in their free time, since the "elitists" cant find something constructive to do.

As for your opinion on a movie looking better upscaled, well it's just a ridiculous notion. Are you seriously saying that the extra pixels created by an algorithm are "better" than the actual details found in a higher resolution shot?

I'm really asking, because the only way I see it as being true is if the cinematography of the movie sucked so bad, that actually taking away detail makes it more tolerable.

It's like taking out every other page of a book and claiming it's now better. That would not work for say last of the Mohicans, but the new Sarah Palin book... well that I could believe

Thuggish? I'm a ganster rapper now? As far as violence is concerned can you honestly say that having that attitude in a face to face situation couldnt very well result in him pushing someones buttons the wrong way and worst case scenario probably getting smacked, or beaten up?

Blu-Ray doesnt magically make older movies look like they were filmed just yesterday, as I keep saying it's "MY" opinion if you dont care for my opinion then simply just DONT agree, but there is no need to make a federal case out of it.

And nice Palin comment, that's going to help everything because that's just what anybody needs is a political debate. I mean our country is doing sooooo great now thanks to the current administration.

Palin was an offhand comment, I doubt anyone is going to come in here and rant about it.

And your mention of violence was nothing but a passive agressive way of threatening the poster. That's all. Relax. I know people can sometimes push your buttons on these board,s it happens to me to, but there is no need to get worked up about it.

Blu ray and Hd movies are usually re-scanned from the original film. Film, has the potential for a lot higher resolution than 480p. and so an HD version of the movie will only have more detail. How is that a bad thing?

Unless, as I mentioned earlier, that detail is detrimental to the source. For example: porn. HD porn is NOT good. Another example would be maybe a really old movie, and the extra detail highlight imperfections in the film? Or maybe the special effects don't hold up at HD resolutions? Is that the issue in this case maybe?

But really those are the only real options here. More detail cannot equal bad (with the exceptions above noted).

ok like I said any grievance or etc PM s would be better, as I said before my opinion, Predator 1 is an old movie and no the FX dont really hold up well on Blu-Ray I have both formats, and like I said in my opinion there isnt a huge difference, the Audio yes absolutely is king on a HD format, uncompressed = extreme goodness with a proper audio set up. But dont get me wrong and assume I said ALL DVDs are ALMOST as good as Blu-Ray, because there arent alot of circumstances like that, again any and all of what I've said is in fact my opinion and that is that.

It's hilarious watching console fanboys trying to act like an Xbawkz is anything other than an outdated PC. Yes, I am PC elitist. Why? Because my PC is better than your crapbox in every conceivable way. If I wanted to, and trust me I don't, I could easily hook up an Xbox 360 controller or PS3 controller to my PC. Then I can be like the rest of you mindless drones spazzing out trying to aim with a joystick. You know what else I can do? I can take my PC and......wait for it.........hook it up to my 52" LCD. Wow, I can have native 1920 x 1080p and 8x AA and 16x AF?! So at this point, I have my PC running a perfect picture, excellent 5.1 sound, and I'm using an Xbox controller sitting on my couch. I can take my wireless keyboard, alt-tab and do something else like watch a bluray, download porn, surf the internet, or write a paper. All from the comfort of my couch!



Anyways, I stand by the "all consoles are crap." I'm an elitist and I'm better than you.

I think their might be something wrong with your home theater setup. This is the only real reason I can think of for you to claim that DVD quality is better than BD or even on par with it.  Do you have an HDTV that supports 1080p?

Again 46" bravia 1080p LCD HDTV.

my other LCD is a 40" bravia 1080p HDTV, however I keep that one in my bedroom, the 46" in my den.

the only difference in the two are the size, and the 40 runs at 120hz and the 46 at 240hz

I'm not a "die hard" console fan, most of my games are on my PC, however most are FPS, RTS games,

Why would I buy ME for both platforms? why would I get the Orange Box for 360 when I have HL series and Team Fortress on my PC if I were a die-hard console gamer?

I don't know why you would do that.  I can see ME, since when it came out it was supposed to be 360 exclusive and was only ported to PC later.  But Orange Box really belongs on the PC and I couldn't imagine trying to play TF2 on X box.

4 weeks? of Boot Camp alone? wow what movies have you been watching? Easy to disrespect something you have no idea or knowledge about. Yep 4 weeks I managed to graduate from Boot Camp at FT Leonardwood, graduate from Engineer School in MS, Airborne School Ft Benning, pre-deployment tactics and readiness at Ft Bragg, deploy to Afghanistan, go from Bagram Airbase, to FOB Orgun-E, FOB Salerno, FOB Tillman, FOB Bermel, and get jacked up along with several others, sent to Kuwait, then to Germany, then to Maryland, then to Womack Army Medical Center Ft Bragg, then honorably discharged because of the nature of my injuries/disabilities, and go through a divorce in 4 weeks yeah you know your **** buddy, your a damn expert.

I asked you not to take it there, out of respect that would have been the right thing to do, and stop pushing my buttons, most people have the common courtesy to not disrespect any and all servicemembers both Vets and Active/Reserve about anything regarding their time and sacrifices, you can same console fanboy, you can say ****** thats fair game, but dont touch my service and honorable service at that.
