I am waiting for the speculation on the sequel that stems from the fluffy mackerel pudding recipe in the codex. There's no way that was put in there on a whim: It must hint at a plot about horrible fish dishes.

Can I take that as confirmation of fluffy mackerel pudding in DA2, then?

Actually I always had the sneaking suspicion Lelianna's mother is Alistair's mother. Her mother was a maid who left Feralden. They'd be more likely to be siblings most things that raise approval with Lelianna also raise it with Alistair. Alistair enjoys killing Loghain, Lelianna enjoys killing Majorlaine. Probably pulling at hairs here.

I'm pretty sure Alistair's mother died after he was born, and more importantly, she's got to be several years older than him.

Well, well, I do not know if somebody else has noticed that most of the names in DA series are related to celtic, britanian and irish mythology. I am not sure if this is deliberated, but it must be, isn't it? For instance: Morrigan is the celtic goddess of war and death (and motherhood), but also Taliesin is the name of a famous britanian bard (i think from the VIth century, not sure right now), or Owein, which was a knight in king Arthur's court. There are also many examples of this kind of names slightly changed, for instance in Connobar's story: there is an king named Conchobar in irish tradition; or even Loghain, which is related to the wheel of time, yes, but maybe the original name comes from Loegaire, another famous irish warrior...

Actually, I think she died in childbirth, as Goldanna says to Alistair, "You killed mother,you did!"

Ahem... If she died before he was born, well, he would not exist... ¬¬

Anyway, if you play Darkspawn Chronicles you'll realise that theory of siblings is not very likely... Plots must have some tricks inside them but if you make them too tricky they are pretty unbelievable, you'll have to preserve a "pact of ficition" with the reader/gamer/user... That Leliana theory sounds kind of imposible and based only in the fact that tehy were children of maidens. It should have been more maidens than nobles
