Like:
- The voice acting.
- The new characters.
- Deafult LadyHawkes eye's.
Dislike:
- Forcing siblings/family upon you as it's hard to feel any emotional connection to them when all they have literally done so far is argue with you and fight. There is not enough depth there to give a damn about them.
- Some of the animations, both in and out of combat, particularly running outside of combat.
- Cool-downs for potions/items.

ok
Like:
- New Combat is so much better and alot more fun (based on demo)
- Main Character is voiced
- You don't have to agree with your party members to advance in their stories anymore.
Dislike:
- One review claimed that the game feels rushed (this is the only thing that scares me)
- Fixed armor for companions (im not really sure I dislike this change but I had to pick something)
- I have to wait another 10 days or something like that for this game

--- The Combat tactics:
The rogue and warrior skills have utmost effect
The mage gets the benefit of nuking
The Mage can be a immense damage dealer without much defense unless against bosses
--- The storyline is much more solid than compared to DAO and since maybe we are introduced to the THE Dragon Age Setting, we are more involved, However this might be i find DA2 more engrossing... this should entirely explain why certain specializations are not available such as Arcane Warrior and shapeshifter showing that hawke has never come across such accessible resources in his life in this DA2 chapter. however i cannot say the same about Reaver spec since it also has to be learntin DAA from the temple ruins. The characters have more personality than compared to DAO and i just suppose it is a part of evolution of the version of THEDAS from DAO
--- The Mage Upgrade: Mages now dish out melee damage and the staff is more efficient than in DAA, The AOE is acceptable
DISLIKES
--- Fewer spells for the mages
the matter of upgrades has brought fewer spells for the mages to take total advantage of the battle
=== Spell esp Heal Cool Down
the spell cool down effect is drastic compared to the spell effect or duration of effect on the opponent.. heals should have a lesser cool down as compared to DAO atleast thats what i thought.
=== Darkspawn Animation
the dao darkspawn looked more vicious and felt so compared to what i have faced in the demo
unless and until our prime villians of DA2 are not darkspawn i might have to face a uncontrollable giggle merely just looking at the current darkspawn ogre and hurlocks though emissaries are a great rework.

Like
- Faster Pacing in Combat
- The Conversation Wheel (though I dont like the icon, feels like I dont even have to read what I say anymore)
- Friend/Rival System
- The art style just feels too much like a LotR game from 5 years ago, also the Characters don't look...right.
- Hack'n'Slash Animation
- The sheer lack of content. No customising companions look, set mostly in one city, less skills/talents, generic npc models, lack of playable races, no cross-classing, no choosable origin story etc

I'd say likes:
1. Combat is silly fun. After you get over the WTF??? moment, one can chuckle at how over the top absurd it is.
2. Voice acting for female Hawke is good.
3. I've never been a fan of the need to spend endless amounts of time getting party members equipped before each expedition-- I'm one of those who liked ME2's lack of an inventory system.
Dislikes
1. Overall art direction is spartan and cartoonish.
2. So far, the story doesn't grab, nor have I been given any reason to care about the characters.
3. I really wish this had been a DA:O sequel. There's far too many loose ends in that story-- now with DA2, I doubt we'll ever see them resolved.

- Mages can actually fight up close with the use of a staff.
- Rogue can actually evade an enemy.
- Archers, like mages, can have up close fights (utilizing an... invisible blade ?) instead of firing arrows at someone standing within 3 feet of them.
Dislikes:
- Sibling death is dependent on class chosen rather than choice of the player. (Hopefully a mod will come out that will change that so you can choose who dies.)
- Despite coming across as arcadey, combat with your character doesn't actually happen the way you'd hope on PC. I would have much rather have left the old combat in so my character could attack other nearby enemies without my prompting.**
- Character creation seems to happen after the intro of the legend rather than before.
**Just to expand on the second portion of my dislike. I feel almost completely removed from the combat because of the way it happens. It feels like I'm playing with legos or dolls and not actually being part of the story. Why I feel this way is the same reason I feel part of combat if I play something like Street Fighter. I'm causing the actions. In DA:O even if I'm not swinging the sword I am performing the extra feats. I'm controlling the battlefield to the best of my ability.
I guess I needed to type that out to get to the feeling that I'm feeling now. In DA:O I knew that the Warden was my own. That I am him or her and that he/she chooses responses or actions depending on what I feel I want for that go around. I don't get the same feeling playing through the demo (refer to the part about playing with dolls or legos) and that's unfortunate.

Hmm, lesee
Like
- new combat pacing and animations
- new art style, especially mage spells and effects
- Hawke (female) voice.
Dislike
- assuming it happens this way in the retail release, loss of a sibling based on class choice rather than an in game decision.
- locking companion armor. I can see why it was done but I love my loot and gearing everyone to perfection.
- Um. Thats about it till I can hands on the actual game. Lack of having my hands on said game as my final dislike I guess.

Wow, when seeing so many significant things they've cut out (or didn't carry from DA:O) in a list like that it is pretty surprising and depressing. Did Bioware have a smaller budget for DA2 than for DA:O?
