Pretty Bioware games have the option for the main character to say "no, I don't feel that way" and ath ends a relationship.

I also managed to avoid a romance with:
Garrus and miranda.

The option to be nice without flirting would be awesome.

I agree with chrono. The should have just left Paragon, Neutral, and Renegade off to the right and put romance dialogue options on the left. That way you can be nice to someone on your squad without worrying about getting your bones jumped.
But then there's no element of surprise. It's supposed to be a relationship simulator. What if you knew the way to defeat the Reapers? That would ruin the game now wouldn't it. Same here.
Solution: Go to options and turn "Irresistible Charm" off. There, problem solved, now you're an ackward mess of a personality that not even Tali will get near you.

Perfectly reasonable action with a perfectly reasonable effect. Good for you.

We need one of these in ME3, damn it.drahelvete wrote...
That's why there's a flirting icon in DA2. No more ninjamances.
At least ME2's pickup lines were, for the most part, absurdly obvious...
Thane: So that's the sad little story of my dead wife.
FemShep: Great! Let's have sex!
Thane: ... What?
Unfortunately, Jacob broke this rule, where the only way to not flirt with him was to not talk to him or to play as a dude.

Relationships are not as difficult to predict and prevent/instigate as Reapers.Pwener2313 wrote...

Or how talking to Liara once means that are rumors on the ship that you're an item with her.
I disliked the romance traps in ME1 where the LI would ask you (I know Kaidan/Ashley is an example) if you like them, and all of Shepard's options are "yes" in different ways.

Then there's the problem that Jennifer Hale's voice acting goes all weird and horny when she says certain things to Jacob that seem neutral on the dialogue option wheel.

Please, elaborate, I find myself.... entralled.
