Male Hawke, Witty Variant.

One of my favorite protaganist voices.

Male Hawke, witty style and Fred Tatasciore doing the Dwarf Male's voice.

Both are equal in terms of badassery to me. FemHawke just didn't put emotions into her lines imo.

The Warden.

"Success!"
"Don't think so"
"Are you daft!"
"Saving the day!"
"Wheres the tavern?"

Brilliance.

Warden.

Both Hawke's can do goodie and jackass dialogue well, but neither can do the jerk dialogue well at all.

FemHawke.

I did finally make a ManHawke, but after so many plays as a female, hearing a male say the same lines was odd for a long while. It also took me a bit to think that the voice didn't sound weird coming out of my character the way I designed him (oddly, he looked more like a brother to my FemHawke than Carver did...). While I did end up liking him quite a bit, FemHawke still wins it for me.

Clearly, the Warden.

That's the only voice that doesn't make me think "I wouldn't have said it that way"

Yep, agreed.

My warden sounded the way I thought she should, and said what I wanted her to say. No guessing that the hint might possibly give me the dialogue I wanted.

Female Hawke.

I'm not sure I understand how the Warden could even be in the running. Are you referring to the 5 or 6 things they said while in combat, or the "voice" you had in your head while reading what they were saying?

There was more than one option for male/female combat voice, and in my last DAO playthrough, I got stuck with Anora's voice, which has got to be the worst one of them all. Period.

I tried playing a male Hawke, but he sounded kinda wimpy to me.

My Warden has the best voice.
She says everything the way I would say it.

I would love my Lady Hawke without the paraphrasing.

Warden, I always knew what he was going to say.

M!Hawke just annoys me with his battle screams "Need mana!", "I'm exhausted!", "This is going badly". I swear I wanted to rip my ears off just so I could stop listening that annoying sound.

Edit: I hadn't noticed that this thread is 4 months old until now

The violent voice for the Elf Wardens. Come on! It's Yuri Lowenthal! He rocks! As for Hawke... I like both Male and Female. Nick Boulton and Jo Wyatt are fantastic in my opinion. Both do a great job as Diplomatic Hawke, but I think Jo is better at doing Sarcastic Hawke that Nick is, just like Nick is better at doing Aggressive Hawke than Jo.

LadyHawke, snarky in particular. Especially the banter she has with other party members when you're not directly controlling her.

The warden's voice is perfect!

It is so incredibly good that it fits kindness, sarcasm, anger, aggression, dwarvish, elvish, human, male and female.

Fascinating, isn't it?

Yep, and it deosn't take away resources that can be put into multi-playable races.

Female Hawke hands down!

I do like few of the wardens: Sultry-cocky are the best.

Warden. Silent protagonist (at least in terms of what the player hears) FTW.

"evil" Lady Hawke, no doubt.

"They say your life flashes in front of your eyes before you die. Any helpful flashes yet?"

What voice Warden got? - "Arhh", "Uhrrr", "My spell failed!" -???

Errrr, I don't believe the Warden ever sounded this retarded:

FemHawke's voice there just makes me want to punch her in the face. Yes we get it, you're overly posh and boring, blargh.
