Soo..

I'm getting my saves ready for Dragon Age 2, just finished Awakening a while ago and that's when I came to the forums and read that you can import the following save game order: Origins>Awakening>Golems of Amgarrak>Witch Hunt.

Okay.

I finished Golems of Amgarrak and I'm staring at my screen with a blank expression. What did I just play? Am i doing something wrong? Because this was a very disturbing DLC and it left me feeling a bit silly.  I fail to see why this DLC is relevant at all...

pd: I will probably have nightmares tonight. Thank you, BioWare :crying:

Trust me stranger I am confused as you are and also just finished the DLC's. So from what I gathered the harvester threat remains, and the only point to this dlc was to get the powerful items from achievements?

I have no idea. I didn't feel like there was any "choice" to import or any relevant plot thing?

Not even a save after you defeat The Harvester... and what is worse... you see all those tiny little harvester things running towards you... *shudders*

People wanted to play their Warden and wanted a tougher challenge and they got it with Golems. The horror theme seemed to work better on you than it did me. ;P (Though I got spoiled...)

I'm not sure what might be imported aside from playing Golems. I think most of the important DA2 imports are in Origins, with some more in Awakening. Witch Hunt has one choice, but it's based on choices made in Origins.

Bottom line: you don't *need* to play the DLC to get a decent import.

It was intended to be a challenge for veteran players, not a storyline tie-in. The description eludes to that. No one ever said everything comes down to player choice and that it will have implications in future titles. People assume that.

People are right to assume that every post origins dlc has an effect on the future titles, such as awakening an important role there. Witch Hunt is another important post origins dlc dealing with what's to come and Morrigan's involvment. Yet as Catt128 said the Golems dlc is way off topic, no relation to before or after. Hence the confusion we face.

As I said, it's mostly a horror side story made to create a challenging boss encounter. It introduces the Harvester, but is otherwise a story made to give the boss a reason to exist and matter to the Warden. And the way I see it, the DLC only lacks impact on the world because the Warden thinks that the Harvester is buried.

You know what would be funny? If the Harvester only showed up in Dragon Age 2 because you unleashed the rest of its kind from Amgarrak.

Well obviously they weren't right to assume it. That is why assumptions are dangerous, heh. Seriously though, I can understand the confusion but what can I tell you? It was meant as a gameplay challenge. Some people liked it, some hated it. Oh well. Doesn't mean that what I said isn't true.
