So, nvidia has released a new driver, it's Beta, and it says "Improves compatibility with Dragon Age II." Anyone tested the Demo with this new driver, any improved performance ?

I'll try it, even though new Nvidia drivers aren't ideal on Geforce 9 cards.

Edit: In the release notes they mention a fix in terrain rendering using DirectX 11. I didn't have that problem so I doubt it's worth installing the beta driver.

Actually I tried it anyway. Now the demo crashes after selecing a gender and class.

Edit: Restarted. The demo now loads fine but I don't see an improvement in performance in DX11 mode. DX9 is smooth, even on an old Geforce 9600 GT, but I'm not sure if it's better than before. It reached 60 fps at 1920x1080 in close-ups with v-sync disabled. 30 fps during combat. Sometimes it drops below that in cinematics with special effects.

Tested 267.24 on an i5-760 system with SLI'd 260gtx 216s. Performance at the highest possible settings (medium, for these cards) and 1920x1200 resolution is good. Averaging around 140-150 fps.

Tried with a GTX460 card. Before, i had the terrain rendering bug and sluggish performance (the game worked just fine with DX9). Now at max settings my system has no problem at all running it. FYI I run a GTX460 card@810 and a Core2Quad Q9550 at stock speeds. If anyone want me to try a specific settings, feel free to ask!

I'm guessing you won't notice much difference except with DA2 proper.  It's pretty common for nVidia to put out a quick bug fix release the week before a big new title comes out.
