(Again, the words will be bunched up before I edit them.)
Shepard: I’ve had enough of your disingenuous assertions. It’s either this, or waiting another 6 months for the final game.
Samara: What game do you speak of, shepard?
Shepard: Nevermind. What matters is, this is an opportunity to catch them while we have the upper hand.
Shepard: I know you’re all tired from what we’ve faced so far. But the time to make a pre-emptive strike against the biggest threat against the galaxy is right here, right now.
Miranda: Would you like to solve any of our daddy issues or mine some palladium before we go?
Sten: No.
Shepard: Wait a minute… who are you? Are you new to the Normandy staff?
Sten: No.
Shepard: Alright then…. We leave immediately. Joker?
Joker: Already on it, shep. We’re nearly there now. This could get bumpy, so hold on!
Joker brings thrusters to full and begins to align next to the mysterious relay. As it begins to slingshot at FTL speeds, the ship, and its crew, begin to tremble.
Mordin: Sub-molecular compositions becoming increasingly unstable!
Jack: Which in English means we’re screwed! Remind me to haunt you if I die, shepard…
The Normandy finally slows to a halt, with the entire ship and its crew shaken.
Shepard: EDI, what can you tell us? Are we still in the Milky Way?
EDI: Yes. In fact, according to my data, we’re on planet Earth. A location previously known as Independence, Missouri. Scans from our trek through the relay indicated heavy temporal distortions. We are…in the Late 19th Century United States.
EDI: Thruster systems seem to have shut down Commander. I suggest you exit the ship and find a mode of mobile transportation. It will take time to find the source of the damage. Likely a plot device for the storyline.
