Seriously Bioware, you should've put Hard and Nightmare difficulty from the get go in the demo, even if they "were not finalized"

Could've saved a lot of complaints of dumbed down gameplay, because I just played it through Nightmare, and had to use my allies and their abilities often to stay alive, position my allies so that their melee damage (carver) would not damage Aveline, had to aim my AoE spells just outside of my allies facing enemies instead of blindly firing fireballs.

And even then, it still wasn't a walk in the park, my mage got sniped by an archer in the Isabela part of the demo, lost half my health from one arrow !

I had to intervene quickly with Firestorm and Hail of Arrows when the reinforcements arrived at the Isabela boss, else I would've been overwhelmed, Aveline was dead, Carver was at half health, Varric too.

Enemies don't seem to have increased HP, but deals like 200% more damage than in normal mode.

And I had way more fun playing this difficulty than in Normal mode.

on the whole, for the presets in the videos, Lady Hawke looks amazing, the only thing i don't like about m!Hawke is the beard/chops.

In a way, having custom Hawke's siblings come out being hollywood homely might make people not want to romance them anymore. Well, one can hope.

I hope thats a good thing.

I'm quite certain it is. I thought it was quite well done. My only concern is some of these hairstyles (at least in this iteration of the CC) only look good from certain angles. At others, they are splotchy, reflect the light badly, or look like someone went to Hair Club for Men circa 1985 (bad plugs). I feel like that was one of the hairstyles I was worried about, but it certainly looks good in that shot. Nice job.

edit: the images disagree! This one is correct (well, I'm assuming it's all subject to changes, being a the amended demo and all), the last preset in each set has the same Hawke family as Default Hawke.

It's funny but Carver has really grown on me. He seemed pretty annoying, being intentionally agressive towards you in the trailers and such, but I have real trouble replacing him in my head with the other two "imposters" in that image, while Bethany seems to work with any of them.

I guess it's just I don't really have anything to base my opnion of her on yet.

I used the inventory mod to equip my Hawke with a helmet I looted, and uh, this is what happened:


So I can see why they didn't have that unlocked for the demo - that isn't even his hair .

I use Fraps, I could easily create him again and just take screen shots of all of the creation menus for you.
