gibbed mods 1+2: CC, inventory, maps and difficulty selection in demo

Good thing: when you
increase lip size, it's not only the lower lip that puffs up (annoyed me
in DAO), and when you move the sliders for changing shapes, there seem
to be a lot more subtle changes.
Bad thing: The hairstyles are
terrible. An assortment of modern tomboy cuts and braids-over-bob that
don't make sense (remember Lily's hairstyle?). They kept the
Isolde-chignon/sock bun, and that is the only hairstyle that
(believably) implies long hair. They even took away the rolled up braids
(Eleanor Cousland/Anora).
There are so many gorgeous ways to style long hair (lookie here:sites.google.com/site/habioku/)
- why the hell is it impossible to include something like that? To make
it almost impossible for your character to have long hair in a
medieval/fantasy setting makes no sense.

Dang. Why would they do that?

*snort* Bite me if I know. Well, maybe because renaissance/medieval hairstyles don't look hip enough to attract teens and early twens. Something I find confirmed when it comes to the modders - they add modern and anime hairstyles, and I have yet to find a hairmod that has styles that actually fit the setting.
I wish I knew how to do this kind of thing - I'd make those styles in a heartbeat.

Go further. Put them in packages->core->override in the Dragon Age 2 Demo folder.

I used my WH Save to import and played the Demo. I read about a Codex detailing the DAO events (Who killed Archie etc.) but when do I get it? (Not during the Lothering portion, I understand that). Help anyone?

I don't recall seeing a codex enty of any kind. Are you perhaps thinking of the summary page that you can view when selecting a file to import?I forgot the exact name of the option, but one of the buttons when you are selecting the save file pulls up a summary of major decisions from the game. However it is currently slightly bugged in that a few options are always the same.Persephone wrote...

In the epilogue it said he went to study at the tower. Any idea on how to fix that?

Hmm, weird, the plot summary of my save import says I killed connor, but I did not as far as I know.

The demo is an older build of the game. The devs have already warned us that not everything was fixed in the demo which is why they locked access to CC, inventory etc. The final release next week should have these errors corrected.

It was funny though because the women in your family get the monk style hair cuts with both of these results!!! I had to stop myself from laughing at them during scenes!!!

You're supposed to put the files in
%User%\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age 2 Demo\\packages\\core\\override

Did you guys extract the .7z download or just stick the whole thing in your Demo folder? You should have a couple of .gfx files.eriksberg wrote...

Did you get both the chargen mod and the inventory mod? The chargen one is the one that allows use of the character creator. Inside the chargen folder is the packages folder copy that and put it into your Dragon Age 2 Demo instal directory for me it's: Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age 2 Demo\\ then it should merge the 2 folders for you and hoepfully it should work. If that doesn't try installing both packages I have both installed and they work. Good luck
