Pretty simple question, how many hours of gameplay is in dragon age 2?
I was thinking about pre-ordering but meh... I don't think theres going to be any replay value here. So how many hours all-together are we talking here?
Any bioware person know?

Nope. The missions are the same, the game's going to end the same ultimately. Don't really care if the dialogue changes, I'll probably only do one playthrough.

For all the angst about the possible playtime (I'm guessing a solid 30-50 hours for most people), there hasn't been anything said about poor replayability. It'll likely be similar to Origins in that regard - you can easily do a few playthroughs and enjoy it.

According to Bioware, yes, it's an average of 50 hours. Though people have already posted some reviews that claim it's 40 hours or less. No way to be completely certain until you get your hands on the game.

It depends on the person. It took me 25 hours to do DAO whereas some people claim to take over 100 hours.

/shrug/ Doesn't matter, you aren't affecting anything in dragon age 2 considering you can't even play after you beat the main story.
And we have no idea how many hours are in skyrims gameplay. For all I know it could turn out to be a sucky amount too.

The PC gamer review said upwards of 50 hours. With me it will probably be 60 or more due to the fact that I explore and snoop around every corner and will go through all dialogue options etc.

Yea same, I enjoy doing all the side quests and what not..
I have signature edition preordered from GAME.

I think the German magazine review pointed to 10 for the main quest. Doubt a thorough play-trough will take any longer than 25 to 30 hours.

Why not get both? Double the fun!
I'm certain I'll be playing more than one playthrough. I'm kinda weird like that, though. I'll play a nicey-nice character, then I'll play a jerkface, then I'll play something in between.... I'll pretty much play until I get sick of it.

meh, I'll pass. I like playing my character after the main story to see what changes I've made to the game and do missions that i missed and stuff. You can't do that here with DA 2.
I'll just wait for skyrim. I don't want to give money to bioware if they don't deserve it. This kinda gameplay sucks in my opinion. /shrug

You couldnt continue playing after the game in DA:O either so I cant see a problem here

Well, you could technically even though there was zero point to it.
That's probably why I'm questioning buying this game. You know... because the end of dragon age 1 was the biggest disappointment I've seen in a long time.
