Nope. The missions are the same, the game's going to end the same ultimately. Don't really care if the dialogue changes, I'll probably only do one playthrough.

I only mentioned skyrim because this game doesn't have anything I want in an rpg. explorability, replay value, game-after main quest. REAL change. REAL choices. LOTS of gameplay. I mean, why would I give 60 dollars to someone for a game that doesn't have any of this.



For all I know skyrim could be crap too. I was just telling everyone what I was literally going to do, pass on this and see what skyrim could offer.

Although I will be getting Skyrim as well when it comes out.. I like RPG's and by the sound of your post your not an RPGer

I play RPG's that don't suck. That's all. I just think its time for the gaming industry to come out of the closet and stop using linear trash gameplay as an excuse to tell story.

It depends what you consider replay value. Atelier Rorona has like 30 different endings, some event based, some character based, some a mix of both. Is it worth playing 30 times to see them all ? That answer will vary from individual to individual.

I see where he is coming from though. In games like FO and Oblivion , you can play multiple times and explore totally new parts of the world each time you do. I'm not including the main path, because the main path is only a fraction of the game itself.

Of course if you are the sort of person who discovers everything on the first run, thats fine too, you get a longer game because of it.

I just think its better gameplay being able to go wherever you want to go in the game. I'm not a fan of "cinematic" experiences either. I firmly believe that the player can make their own cinematic experience while playing, they don't need a cuttscene to do that for them. Maybe to help move the story along but that's it.

Also, the mechanic to be able to play after the main story is finished is just a really great feature in an RPG. In fact I can't see myself playing another rpg again without it. That's probably why I hate FNV and why I currently hate this game. And yet I like oblivion//fallout3//D2//diablo3.

This "cinematic" experience only offers what a freaking person renting the game on an xbox could want. It's just a total fail in my opinion.

The person who played that game of DA2 either played it in easy, or was a Drunken Money.

Thats for the main plot path only. It's very similiar to ME if you just to the plot. Actually MEs probably a bit shorter.

Gameplay dude. I'd take good gameplay over story any day. I fail to understand why the two cannot be married. And don't say the witcher because that game sucks.

I do believe you are on the wrong forums then. Don't get me wrong, I personally enjoy the ever living hell out of Bioware gameplay, but they're story tellers first and foremost.

(Quick edit, that was supposed to sound less like attack than it does, it was more in the "I do believe you are on the wrong street, chum" tone then any sort of aggresive tone. Sometimes I just like to add these to clarify.)

I could care less what street I'm on. I was expecting DA2 to not be a linear piece of crap but it is. All I'm saying is I don't get why they can't marry the story with decent gameplay that isn't linear 2004 quality. I mean ffs diablo 2 came out in 2001.

Also this thread isn't even about any of this. I got attacked because I said "skyrim" and that I think 30-50 hours isn't worth 60 dollars.

Anyhow. I probably AM in the wrong zip code here.... This is like freakin loony toon city.

I'm out, I just hope I opened some bioware eyes even a little. Peace.....................

Actually, I'm going to play in true game time, to make  it last a full 10 years.

In 2016,  when you all  are sick of DA2.   I'll only be halfway through, and still enjoying the game for the first time.
