I think it's worse. In ME2 you could just stick the TV on or go make a sandwich or something. This one actually requires you to do stuff.
Try it. Do nothing and watch Bethany kill everything.

He might not have actually described Hawke's appearance, and rather allowed Cassandra to imagine. Maybe she would have asked later, until he started lying.

So that means that Cassandra imagined Bethany having a gigantic rack without any description of what she looked like.

Is this an unskippable intro like me2?
I found it really annoying to have to play through it all over again whenever i accidentally made an ugly shepard...

Don't you prefer that version?

But that's me talking through my penis again. Damn it.

On reflection I understand why they did it, they wanted to use some prerendered CGI in the intro.
If I had been them I would have done the CGI for both sexes AND all the major ethnicities though ... most of the cost is in the modeling and a few extra facial models and skin colours wouldn't have broke the bank. Would have avoided the stigma of racism.

The way we've chosen to do character creation in Dragon Age II is a little different than what you may be used to, but I think it works fine. Try it out and see what you think of it.

But as long as Hawke doesn't revert to default face everytime there's exaggeration sequence I'll get over it.
If he/she does though. <_<
You can bet he probably will. I really hope he won't though cause I don't like the default male Hawke, such an implementation would pretty much force me to play FemHawke exclusively.

Yeah I see what you mean. :/
Still I think most people enjoy making their own characters. Custom Hawkes while attractive aren't the best thing ever. And I highly enjoy making my own characters. I'm sure plenty of other people feel that way too.
Appearence has no actual game vaule though. I'm sure they would be very happy to get people out of that habbit if they could.
I don't really care about pre-gens so it's either trying to build a hottie that I can stare at for 50 hours, or just take the default male. Except for Shepard.. he looks like a serial killer..
They have pretty much hit my "type" with FemHawkeshe's going to be hard to improve on.
