I accuse the spybots of being both inaccurate and misleading. The poll is as accurate as their spybot as it is real people the ones who own or play their games who are answering it. Just as in RL all the people I know all of them have consoles and PC's and none of them play games only once which is also as accurate as their so called spybot. Just as you too I doubt very much only played for example ME2 only once.
It doesn't matter whether people turn off their spybot. The only concern would be population differences re: gameplay style in the people who do turn it off and the people who don't. If such differences don't exist then your data set is representative because you can filter everthing else as error.

So I got this gibbed mod for the demo working and turns out later in kirkwall we get another cutscene with the default hawke in it. This should not be in the game at release. I can't have half of the cutscenes showing 'another' hawke.
I really hope this is windup. I'm playing default anyway I don't really care about Hawke enough to put in an effort.

It was surprising to see Carver there when he supposedly died a few minutes before that (game time).

It's short, but not all that hard to miss. It happens right after Varric says something like, "The witch kept her word and they sailed in the Kirkwall, the city of chains." Immediately after you see the door a short movie plays and you'll easily be able to make out Carver and Aveline walking towards a set of steps.

How about a choice, BioWare? "Go to CC" or "I just want to mash buttons because I couldn't care less about roleplaying and this is an action game".

uh, okay, i can't really see that as proof of anything. The demo fast-forwarded us to the Isabela-Quest, we are probably going to be able to play those parts.
@ AlexXIV
sorry, i thought you had enabled something that wasn't in the normal demo.

Any results you get here will not be representative of the fan base as a whole. You can't really argue with what the EA spybots gather unless you want to accuse EA of manipulating the data in some way.
This is true. Forum users tend not to be typical players so results are skewed.

Well I enabled the character creator. Only that. But the point is in that scene when hawke arrives in kirkwall it shows the default hawke, not my custom made. It is narrative style though so I hope not everytime Varric is actually narrating we get the default hawke instead of the custom.Tleining wrote...

I didn't even notice Carver. Just shows I am not one to be too perceptive. But that the Hawke I saw wasn't my Hawke was obvious enough.

That would be correct. I and people I know have finished RPGs multiple times, but we are RPG players, as are most of the people on the board. Hell I get stick from them for playing FPS games like Killzone and daring to like them!
But thats like 20 people out of a couple of million. No way could I claim that we represent typical gamers either.
For example, the people I know from playing Killzone won't touch RPGs because they are "boring" . Even within the RPGers I know are some who won't play Bioware games because they are "pointless and lack character growth". These guys are used to playing JRPGs with pre-gen characters.
Your arguement is flawed in the sense the spybot itself only monitors a sample of the (Bioware) game title players so bringing in other types of player is pointless as the data people claiming to be more reliable is data noone has seen other than in that one article which showed one picture no access to the data itself. My poll is no different as it samples people who play Bioware games as does the spybot whch noone has shown me links to the real data to begin with, the only difference is my data is viewable and was sampled from this website which is where a lot of Bioware players come to discuss their titles. How representitive it is comes with how many people take part not which group of people take part as the spybot relies on the same people who play as these forums do aka the players.

They collected it from DA:O. They've released bits and pieces, doubt they'll release the lot because in general people are awful at statistical analysis.Dragoonlordz wrote...

Well the video noticed that my choice was female warrior though. Just not the custom face. Well it could be it is an old build of the game and does just not support the CC despite the mod. I am just saying it is a bit worrying me right now.Ziggeh wrote...

My statement was accurate tyvm. Shouldn't call people awful at things as a reason to not show people data as it's nothing more than akin to a red herring. My statistical anaysis is as good as the people at Bioware when data is given and not hidden. What people have shown me is only a sample of a sample with no links to the source which in itself brings doubts into the reliability.
Now the poll is made so I'll leave it at that and get back to discussing the topic in which I do not believe there is any reason to not use character creation before the introduction if they so wished, which they didn't regardless of ability to do so.

It gathers a bigger sample than you ever could. That makes it statistically more reliable.

That's a pre-recorded cutscene to show the transition from the prologue to the Isabela quest, I doubt it happens like that in the game.

You don't need gibbed to see that though, it's just tagged on after the demo ends.

Well in the demo you're only supposed to be able to play the default male and female hawke, so they obviously made two videos which summarise the huge bit of plot that you're skipping from the Flemeth meeting to the Isabella quest, and show one or the other depending on your gender.AlexXIV wrote...

Varric: *sits back in the chair* You know how I described the champion the first time?
Cassandra: Of course.
Varric: Complete lie.
Cassandra: Dwaaarrf! *shakes fist in anger*
Varric: Hand to the Maker. He actually had a bad comb over, or did he have a tonsure...
*Cassandra sighs*
