Yeah, I have to say that I didn't really pick up on it in DA:O itself, but I'm reading The Stolen Throne and Gaider is a great writer. Every other book I've read that's based on a videogame or other existing franchise (e.g. Star Wars) has been a complete mess where someone without natural talent but a writing course behind them tries to act like an author. The Stolen Throne actually feels like - gasp - an actual novel. In fact, it was this book that encouraged me to carry on with my long-abandonned DA:O play-through, which I continued to completion and then pre-ordered DA2. So thanks David, if you're reading this!

oh my GOOODNESS!!!   The Calling is very awesome!  the way Ducan is writen makes him a more likeable character.    I hope one day.. there will be another book....

His armour is my favorite so far.  how white it is... very pure looking.... suit for a prince

The Black Emporium and Exiled Prince is on the PSN EU store already is this a mistake, because its not really "Day One" DLC

But I suspect I am going to make him talk a lot.

I look at it this way, yes he took vows but:

1. He didn't go into them willingly, and this short story proves that he very much likes, er, the act. (I also suspect that he was at least in his teens when he joined. Certainly old enough for his hormones to have activated, and the surly attitude sounds a lot like a teenager)
2. If he's going to become the ruler of Starkhaven (I assume?) he's going to have to break those vows anyway, if he wants to make any heirs. Heck, if he assumes the throne, I would imagine the Chantry would let him out of them.

And if all else fails, my Hawkette will MAKE him break those vows.

From what I get from the short story, it seemed like those vows were involuntary. He would have no obligation to uphold them.

But he is trying to reclaim his title.  To me this suggests that he will be renouncing any vow of celibacy as being ruler he will need heirs.  I don't think the minor nobles in Starkhaven would allow Sebastian to remove whoever replaced his family just to go through succession problems in the future.

As you can tell, I'm still living in hope.

I guess that is true, he will need to produce heirs if he does take the throne. I just have a feeling Hawke wont be included; I refuse to get my hopes up. At least we can flirt with him.

I somehow doubt the desire demon is already within him. We're already got one possessed companion. If anything the demon is trying very very hard to get there.
