WHAT HAPPENED TO SER POUNCE-A-LOT!?
SPOILERS!!!!!!
The Wardens made Anders give him up. He was given to a friend in Amaranthine.
Join us next week for Ser Pounce-a-lot: Homeward Bound.

That's almost enough to make me sad for the rest of the day.
The story of Vael was a neat one, still celibacy? Vael, buddy I respect your decision but I can't say I could contimue to make that sacrifice buddy.

Not likely Seb is an LI. He seems to constrained by the politics that surround him, and Hawke may not be a good fit in the overall story.
Well.. Anders is posessed and he's still a LI. I/some people thought that was a big tick in the Not LI column. I don't care either way as far as Sebastian is concerned but, just sayin.
You have a point about Anders. I'll be interested to see if he does turn out to be an LI. It'd be a fascinating move, where Bioware determines if LI status grants more sales for DLC, and if they are interested in exploring that content further into the future.

I got the impression that the whole serving the chantry/being celibate thing was forced onto Sebastian by his parents. They didn't want any children of his to become a threat as heirs to the throne, because his brother's children have that right. Sebastian is honoring his parent's wishes, but after his entire family is murdered, someone has to carry on the Vael bloodline, just like Alistair carries on the Theirin bloodline. Who better to have at your side than a woman (if you play Lady Hawke) who has noble blood in her family from the Amell line, and who is also the Champion of Kirkwall?
I can't say thats a bad thought. The logic is sound.
BUT-
He might think Lady Hawke is fugly.

Yeah... I've never seen that happen, lol. You can make your character in DAO look like Gollum, and Alistair will still say, "By the Maker, you're beautiful" and kiss her. But who knows, Sebastian may prefer a meek little chantry-mouse type of woman. But I doubt it.

Then I'll feel bad for those who role-play their Hawkes as meek little chantry-mouse type women.

Hey, it's just video games imitating life. Manipulating guys through dialogue trees is easy as pie so long as you know what they want to hear. The opposite isn't true, however. At least, not with women worth having.Teclo wrote...
You know, I really hope this guy isn't romanceable just so all the fangirls can learn to appreciate a guy without being able to manipulate his simple little mind through dialogue trees. I know I'd still admire Isabella and her wonderful PERSONALITY even if she wasn't romanceable.

Same case scenario with guys worth having.

Of course it is. Loghain wouldn't have any of my Warden's crap, just as Sebastian and Varric won't, either. Men worth having.LPPrince wrote...

Waaaaaait, do we KNOW that Varric and Sebastian aren't going to completely flip their personalities for Hawke?

Well, Varric's not an LI and it's likely that Sebastian won't be either, so I'm going to go with no here.LPPrince wrote...

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but... does this mean Sebastian is a romance? I mean... short stories were only released for LIs, so...?
I think the short story might just be to help drum up interest and convince people to buy the DLC, though I could be wrong.
But...considering he willingly went back to the chantry, doesn't that mean he willingly took on vows of celibacy? Which...might not be too conducive for a romance.

Despite that decision I don't think it precludes the possibility of him forsaking his vows. The main thing that interests me are the words that spring to mind when he's thinking about how much money he's been given. Useless, aimless, selfish, alone. Makes me wonder if these are echoes of the sentiments expressed by his parents. I think the story establishes that he's genuinely faithful to the Chantry but I wonder if part of his decision came from thinking it was the only viable option he had. Looking forward to finding out.

Yes but the forced celibacy was due to him not getting the throne and his going back was before his family was murdered so there is still a minute shred of hope........?
