Just read about Sebastian's chaste romance. Today is a good day for asexuals. Granted, 'chaste' is entirely different from asexuality, but if I can play a asexual Hawke with flirty lines, I'll be thrilled to death.

If there's an option to talk him out of his vows I'm totally avoiding it.

I've been squeeing like a silly girl at this for a while. This is exactly the sort of relationship I've been waiting for in a Bioware game! I love that there will be a relationship that isn't about the build-up before sexeh-times. Oh Sebastian, if it wasn't for the fact that I'm dying to romance Anders, I'd pick him straight away!

I'm still soexcited. I was smitten with Vael since the first trailer. And now my Lady Hawke can actually romance him! Yaaaaay.

*hugs back* He's just so cool! I mean, you had Leske and Gorim in Origins, but neither of those ended well, and Varric's way hotter than either of them, and more fun to boot. Plus, the idea of the end being Varric slipping his arm around Hawke's waist and walking off into the sunset with her... *sighs* I just can't help loving it. But at least if there's a Cullen mod, there's sure to be a Varric mod as well. And until then, we'll all have quite a few options to keep us busy! Geez, if I'm not counting wrong, there are at least five, maybe six. More than ever before in any Bioware game.

Man, chances are that they're all a bit different in action than we think, but that PC Gamer mag was right and my head is still spinning. "Aufgestockt", indeed! :happy:

If that strategy guide which the lovely Inzhuna most graciously linked to is correct, a relationship that isn't about the build-up before sexeh-times will be pretty much... all of them!  MINOR ROMANCE SPOILERS: Apparently rather early-on in the game, in a nighttime conversation at Hawke's home, Hawke can ask the person they're interested in to live together with her/him. Pretty different from the previous Bioware games, eh? It seems like Hawke and his/her lover will establish a deeper connection than just being on the road together, and I could be wrong, but I get the feeling we won't be able to romance everyone in a single playthrough like you could in Origins. I like that--it will mean more, in my book.

Oh, I like that. In Origins I felt a little like my Warden was just trying to get them into bed, but if it's deeper this time, then that's excellent. I've only read a few spoiler-light snippets about the romance path so far, but what I'm hearing, I like. It feels like a mature relationship instead of a tumble and then the awkward lack of development that there was in Origins. Probably why I liked Zev so much, I knew he was all about the sex and was pleasantly suprised to learn he had more to offer.

That drove me a little crazy... I mean, I accepted it as being the way things were, but seriously... yeah! At some of the most pivotal and important moments in the relationship, I felt like there was some dialogue missing. Especially at moments like that.

But to come home to somebody after a long day of adventuring, just find them sitting on a bench in your mutual home; their eyes light up, they come and kiss you... if that's how it's going to be, then I would just melt.

I love what they're doing here. (And I'm totally with you on spoilers! I like mine light and fluffy. I have not yet and will not visit the spoiler-heavy thread.)

True, chastity isn't. Better to not start something than to start something that's only going to end in bitterness, hatred, and bad memories, or possibly just venereal diseases. I would admire Sebastian's principles if he believed in that and stuck to it.

It's not actually chastity I'm worried about. Just that maybe the press used "chastity" when it meant "total and utter celibacy for life." I could roleplay appreciation for the latter if I worked at it, but I could never understand or enjoy it. Whereas, if they actually meant chastity, I would enjoy the chance of pace.

But not dancing.

I'm trying to figure that out myself. I'm hearing "SEBASTIAN ROMANCE = FLIRTING WITH AVELINE NONROMANCE" from one side and "SEBASTIAN ROMANCE = SAMARA NONROMANCE" on the other. Needless to say, confused Seb fan is confused. Even tried looking up "chaste romance" on Google. Only thing I found was an original thread here that got locked. Still didn't help, heh.

Well, romance or no, my fem!Hawke (is Seb available for m!Hawke to flirt with, too?) will stick with Sebastian, even if there's no bedroom scene. I've been chaste going on 31 years this August; I think my fem!Hawke can go 10 years easy. Besides, this is the kind of romance I was hoping for, anyway (if it means what I think it means, anyway).

Now, just gotta go create me some more custom m!Hawke's using DA2s demo, in case they can be chaste with Seb, too.
