I'm still hoping for something mace-ish or hammer-ish. But I'm not optimistic.0rz0 wrote...
Well the devs said that there's all shapes and sizes of dual daggers, I'm sure there will be something sword-ish, too.

Ditto. Archer has always had more interest for me for Rogues though I am considering a DW Rogue sometime after my canons as an alternate if I keep hearing good things about them based on the full games. The Demo leaves so much for me to consider a canon Rogue.

Demo Archer was awesome. Maybe it's the flexiblity of a tank + ranged dps party. Maybe it's the absurd aoe you get (firestorm + fireball + 2 * Volley and Explosive bolt is pretty nice). But I facerolled the demo like nothing else as an archer.

It's called Flourentine Style and a style Im rather familiar with myself. Im no master mind you but Im no slouch either lol.
Heh - is that another crack about rouges being overpowdered?
FWIW, it's Florentine. As in, from the city of Florence. Mind you, I've been to Florence a fair bit, and it's all a big lie - people there eat with knives and forks, just like the rest of us.

As hard as I rolled as an Archer almost made me call myself a Huntard.

Will there be legendary/ultimate bows this time around? Seemed like only swords got love in Origins.
Did you not ever play as a Rogue before. There were some pretty OP bows in DAO and DAA. Forget the uber Sorrows or Arlathan DLC bow.

For real haha I had some amazing bows. I beat the archdemon with a bow actually.

Thats because a good archer can bring the pain damn quick with a bow. Sorrows claimed the Archdemon. Heartwood claimed The Mother, the Harvester, and the Varterral.
I just hope we dont get another weapon made for the purpose of being exploited for a glitch via DLC again.

Can rogues steal or make poisons? I like to role play a variety of different rogues, not all of which are weapon masters...
Can definitely steal. I'm sure there'll be poison making although I haven't seen it yet, but it was a huge part of me surviving in DA:O so it better be in DA2

Min Max DPS glass cannon for live...!! Fragile melee character is fun to play anyways.
PREACH!
And then explode in one hit as the "other" melee class next to you pretends he's PvPing. I won't be playing a melee Rogue for my first Nightmare playthrough that's for sure. So if I'm going to be forced to bring one along it will be an Archer...not that they are too terribly exciting either, but at least I won't have to babysit as much.
When I do end up playing a melee Rogue, I'll probably have two in the group.
Well it all depends on the equips really. My backstabber I am doing in DAO again doesn't have a single point above the base ten con and she does just fine. If/When she takes any hits, the lifegiver ring is a godsend and keeps her going long enough to quickly smite that fool while my ass off, lolz.
Nightmare in DA2 is gonna be a **** though, I'm going to have to revamp my whole style of play. Often times my backstabbers are right next to the tank in the battle so I can keep clearing the enemies off it with my high damage so it won't die and will hold aggro, if I do that in DA2, the tank will kill me, lolz. Well if I use Fenris as a tank at least, Aveline might not be so bad but I don't see the point. It'd be easier to still use high AoE damage 2H Fenris and just use an archer rogue and mages from a distance. In theory at least, I reserve the right to change my mind when the game comes out.

I just finished a quick archer play-through in the demo, holy beejezuz, great improvement.
Using DAA as the standard for the high dex builds that came up since consoles were really screwed in that regard, Archers feel even more powerful now than they did in Awakening with stuff like Aim and Weak Points.
