This. I for one love rogues. Face stabbing FTW

Rogues were just fine in DA:O.

Well weapons work a bit different know, with daggers always coming in pars for example so there could be a pair of "daggers" withe a mace/hammer look usable only by dual wielding rogues, i very much doubt it though.

Daggers always come in pairs?  That's kinda silly.  Well, no, to be fair, that's absolutely and completely silly.

Yes, mine buttered a lot of bread with darkspawn butter. I am very happy with my DAO Rogues and they are very happy with their butter knives.

Thirdly, it's not the name for ALL DW styles, it's simply the name of one style in particular.  Usually implementing a Rapier and a parrying dagger, also known as a Main Gauche.  The dagger isnt used so much for "attacking" as it is used for, as the name implies, parrying.

It's still an anachronism - there is no evidence to suggest that the term was used in this way prior to the twentieth century and the use of an off-hand dagger with a rapier was pretty universal, not tied to any specific school of swordsmanship.  There are a couple of extant treatises written by fencing masters from Florence - Altoni in about 1560 and Docciolini in the early 1600s, IIRC - but to the best of my knowledge they don't contain anything substantially different from what was taught in the rest of Italy at the time.  I fear this is going OT, so I will stop here, but I must first acknowledge SlayTheDragons' point and agree that Ezio was indeed a Florentine who used two blades. Returning to the discussion of rogues, is it confirmed that daggers always come in pairs?  That is somewhat disappointing if so.  I like to mix and match...

Agreed, but some people seem to think they're just weak warriors, which is a result of building them badly.

This class is a lot of fun to play. I'm torn again on whether or not to play the first time as a DW rogue or mage. I can't decide, darnit!

This.
And I am thinking of which paths to follow with each......diplomatic-mage, witty-rouge, wicked-warrior? thoughts?

Witty/sarcastic goes hand in hand with being a rogue. The wicked and diplomatic can go either way with the warrior and mage.

rogues have gay light armors since they focus on dexterity... why cant i have dual weapons with a warrior, i played da:o with two warriors, rogue, all dual weapons, and a mage.. it was devastating.. ultra fast with two longsowrds with momentum on, waring massive armor and a rogue wearing light..

i'll be honest i'll miss the automatic backstabs you used to get in origins when you flanked an enemy.

I'm curious on how some of these will work with a bow. I remember, Assassin, for example worked primarily as melee (not that it was completely restricted to it) in DA:O.

I loved being a rogue in DAO. A bow was my main weapon, but I also loved fighting with a sword and dagger.

It suxs there isnt a swap weapon option (you have to change manually, if u have the inventory mod), at least in demo, because hybrid builds seem very viable.

Really, hmm, not a direction I would have taken.  I loved the weapons swap.

I can officially call myself an archer out in the real world now so I'm definitely up for shooting some arrows into my enemies in DA2.

Tha was a nice feature that lack in previous games    I played DAO as a hybred archer only damage chain up to arrow of slaying and 2 weppons   was not the strongest build but it was fun to mix it up.

Yup! The Specialist skill chain has a sustained ability called... ah... *does quick search in wikia*

Yeah, called Speed, believe it or not! :D  Does these: Attack speed: +10% -- Upkeep: 20% of stamina -- Cooldown: 5s

Has these upgrades: Lightning Speed: +5% Attack speed and Energizing Speed: 90% cooldown on ALL abilities.

There you go! B)

Rogue looks... cool. Mage will still probably be the easiest, but at least the Rogue and Warrior can give the Mage a run for it's money in terms of fun gameplay wise.

Combine that with a mage's Haste ability - which adds +50% Attack speed for all party for 10s (20s if upgraded) - and you add up to... +65% Attack speed. Given that you are already quite faster a shooter in DA2 than in Origins... And Evade... Archers are unstoppable!!!

My first playthrough class that's for sure! A sassy Marion Hawke, sharpshooting acrobat! :D
