It appears some Rogue broke in here and replaced teh Specialization text on the Rogue class page with mere abilities. While we were unable to catch this master of subterfuge, we have replaced the correct pecializations on the Rogue class Page. So please reread the page and get the correct info.

Rogues. Many people think of them as merely something to bring along in the party to open locked doors or chests. Sure, they're a little sneaky, but when you could be a mighty two-handed warrior or fireball casting mage, who would want to be a rogue?

Rogues in Dragon Age 2 are far more than "keys to open locks". They are now dual wielding whirlwinds of death suddenly appearing behind opponents to thrust daggers deep into their backs. Rogues are archers who can literally make death rain from the skies with barrages of arrowed fury.

So if you want a cartwheeling dual wieder or a ranged assasssin, you need to consider Rogues. All that, and they also open locks. Let's see warriors or mages do all that.

I thought rogues were pretty spiffy in DA:O, actually.

There certainly wasn't a need to take all archery away from warriors in order to make rogues "more special."

This proves that mage is the favorite class of bioware. Why? Because they gave us a new class. A class with FORCE POWERS!!!!!!

Sounds like, if I want to avoid fighting, it'll have to be a Shadow rogue. Well, why not. A "Politician" (only for the evil-minded, obviously) or "Diplomat" specialisation  would be more my style, but I guess Bioware will stick to the three specs per class only and will have to pick those most of the fans will like to play ...

Duelist: Duelists specialize in calling out single opponents and eliminating them, quickly. While the art of dueling is less popular in Kirkwall than the more-refined cities of Orlais, there are still plenty of trainers who can teach rogues they deem sufficiently quick of wit. The rogue’s preferred weapon, be it blade or bow, has little consequence on this tree. A distracted and enraged foe is an easy target at any range.

Seriously? Duelist with a bow sounds wrong to me.
