Hello, I have pre-ordered Dead Space 2 on Direct2Drive and until this point thought that I'm going to get the armor in DA2. I read that I was supposed to get a code to redeem here on BSN. Well the problem is - I didn't get any other code apart from the game's serial key.

Did anyone buy their Dead Space on D2D and got their code?

Thanks

The armor was Retail only, at least I'm pretty sure that's what several people have said.

Pretty sure it's "box only". I'll keep looking (but these forums are really kind of a mess). You might get a better response over at the Dead Space 2 forums though.

I was using the search function on "isaac armor" and got only few topics and they were just about people wanting to know if they can transfer the armor from a PS3 to PC version.

Yea. The search function here is... blah.

There is also conflicting answers.

Take:

For example. If you've registered DS2 to your EA Account and do the same to DA2, you MIGHT see/get the item. However I kind of doubt that that's how it works.

You might be better off filing a support ticket with EA and/or checking the Dead Space 2 forums.

That code was only for retail, officially. Now you can always try to phone EA with your nicest voice, or to file a support ticket with them explaining your case -- that if you knew that before buying you'd have bought retail and not D2D. That seems to have worked with some people who bought Dead Space 2 on Steam. At this point it would be a commercial gesture from EA to satisfy a customer who is also going to buy Dragon Age 2. Maybe a long shot but is worth a try

Actually, I called ea mutliple times, and they have assured me that the armor will be automatically linked to my account on the day of release, and if it isn't they will personally make sure it will be.

Also, read the conditions, it in no way says physical copies only get the item.

That's why I bought the digital version of the game, because it didn't say anywhere that only retail has this extra item.
But if I get the item automatically when I play DA2, then fine. That's okay.
