Cooking is fun.

Cooking beans and onion on bacon, eating it with a wooden spoon while chugging down a pint is manly as hell.

We are bachelors baby!

Image IPB  Where do you work? Your boss is AWESOME!

Canada Computers :P. Everyone I work with is a big nerd so they understand my need to game. I guess I am lucky enough that my life has evolved to better facilitate my addiction to Bioware games and gaming in general.

My wife and I, thankfully, do not have this problem as we will both be playing the crap out of DA2 next week. She on the Xbox and myself on the PC. ...It works out really well that way.

Well I'm just curious to know if anyone else's spouse has threatened to disable their computers when DA 2 comes out.
I thought I was considerate enough when I got a copy of DAO for my Mac so I would stop hogging the console and TV, but now my spouse knows DA 2 is coming out soon and my laptop maybe confiscated if I feed my addiction too much.  By the way, he refuses to play it and has dubbed it "a woman's game" because there is too much dialogue in his opinion.  (The nerve lol :pinched:)

My husband bought me DA 2 as a present because he knew how much I wanted it. <3 And yes, he knows I'm going to spend 2 weeks after it comes out without talking to anybody about anything and just playing... and it's not about sharing either... he's a dedicated WoW gamer, not that much into single player RPGs (especially not those of a franchise I tortured him with *cough* zevran drooling *cough*).
I did manage to convince him to give it a try on Nightmare as a challenge.:innocent:

Don't worry, he's just mad you've been spending more time with your video game friends than you spend with him.

The only disagreements about gaming I see in the next few weeks are, "Honey, I'm mid-cut scene. Can you see why the kids are out of bed?" "Hang on, I'm almost done with this boss fight!"
The only down side to having both parents being gamers is that we need to trade off who's keeping an ear open. But as many people here have mentioned, good communication and a willingness to compromise makes it work.

My husband joked to his friends that I was having an affair with a "digitally rendered psychotic bald woman" while I was playing ME2. He finds my initial utter obsession with a new game obnoxious, but he tolerates it well.
