Some time back, I asked if you were excited for DA2. Fast forward later and are you still excited and do you think DA2 has been improved for the better? I personally think DA2 will be pretty good and that the changes made are good but at the same time, another Origins game wouldn't have been bad either.
I lost all my excitement upon figuring out that the game has about half as much spoken dialogue as origins despite having a voiced PC, half as many characters, and twice as many cinematics.
I'm guessing this game will just be another thing to tide me over until Skyrim, TW2, or Diablo 3 comes out.
So you're buying it? I guess you actually will enjoy it. Skyrim will fail and The Witcher 2 - action RPG that has combat like Fable's combat will fail.

Well I'm not and I agree with Hosothemando. Not many considered Oblivion a good RPG until they modded it.

There's far more to The Elder Scrolls than mere role-playing. It's all about the freedom, the open world, the lack of boundaries. That and the ability to ride up the highest mountain in the game, kill your horse and see it tumble down the mountain.

Except that the world felt far too small and artificial and mountains felt more like hills with a white texture instead of a green one.WidowMaker9394 wrote...

Good news for Bioware though. My 10 y.o. son is VERY excited.
Mission accomplished, I guess.
LOL!!! We're suppose to believe you huh? Then why the hell are you on a forum for a game you have no interest in?
Man what a sad life trolls must lead, spending all their time trying to annoy other people...

When I first heard about Dragon Age 2 I was chuffed to bits. Then I just forgot about it until I downloaded and played the demo.
It was there and then that I started getting stupidly excited... I think my whole family is sick of hearing about it to be honest ^^,
It's like I'm obsessed.
Ahhhhhhhh!

Excited? That word doesn't even beginn to describe my state of mind. Without the demo I would degenerate to Gollum.
My precious!
Same.
I've played the demo countless times...
It's all that's keeping me going...

A bit off topic, but I consider it to be a bit interesting that I didn't even like Oblivion that much but I still played some 150h of it... That being said, Skyrim seems to be more interesting than DA2 atm since I already know what Skyrim will be.

It looked interesting (Skyrim), untill I read they had dumbed it down even more than Oblivion was (compared to Morrowind). They removed around 7 skills for Skyrim. By this rate The Elder Scrolls 8 will have only 3 skills. Not my cup of tea, thats all.

Man what a sad life trolls must lead, spending all their time trying to annoy other people...
1. Because I do not have anything else to play atm
2. Because I loved DA:O so much, I am willing to give this game a chance against my better judgement
3. Because I am a long time Bioware game player and I'm willing to chance it, whereas I would not for a different company. Howevever, if I do not like it, I will simply not get the eventual expansion and DLCs.
Now, here's a question for you:
Why do you make conclusions about me while having absolutely no data? This is a sign of a level of maturity on par with my 10 yo son. Luckily for him, his condition will change with age.
What's your excuse?

Then I played the demo, and my excitement has been mixed with the bitter fear of disappointment. The happy expectation that DA2 would be like DA1, only with better everything has been replaced with uncertainty that some of the core concepts dear to me have been abandoned or changed for the worse.
Now I just can't wait to see for myself. Now I'm simply anxious to end the uncertainty; to see if DA2 can give me as much joy as DA1 did, or if it will bitterly let me down.

I think they could boost excitement a bit if they had more info coming out, such as lists of spells or on online demo character creator. As it stands it seems like they're keeping us in the dark a bit too much. Still, I'm excited.
