Bioware works in teams. By necessity, some of these teams finish before others; you can't start building a cutscene until you have dialogue, for example. When a team finishes, rather than sit around drinking margaritas (although I understand the writers always drink margaritas), they move on to DLC projects. Anyway, the reason that DLC is not a part of the main game is because it isn't finished by the time the game goes gold. If there weren't a medium to download additional content, Sebastian wouldn't exist.

You're talking about content that is released simultaeneously ALONGSIDE the game, if it is content that didn't make the cut you'd think they would release it weeks or even days after the original release...In this case, the content did 'make the cut' its just a case of 'EA wanting to squeeze customers dry' you know this is true, I know this is true, so why deny it? out of loyalty to Bioware? Please just accept the straight facts.
