I did a search trying to find the answer to my question but was unable. If there is a post already asking this please direct me. If not I was wondering what level of customization will be availble for the character class you choose. As in DAO you could choose hair, beards, color of hair, tats, facial design and so on. I know you have a male/female choice but is this the extent of it?

Apparently your search skills failed you.
The customization system in the DA 2 demo, at least, is as full featured as the one in DA;O and Awakenings. Further, there's a post from a developer that confirms it's a full customization.

You can customize your character as much as your could in DA:O. And, your family members will also have similar features to you.

It's the same as Origins, but slightly improved with additional hair and beard meshes.
