So almost everyone complained about the squad "armor" in ME2, yet I don't see those complaints for DA2

Are you saying there should be more complaining? That can be arranged I'm sure
Judging by the replies I'd say we should get a shelter soon.

Sword and Sorcery type fantasy has a long history of metal clad bikini babes slaying dragons... even if it wasn't that prominent in DA:O, it is rife within the genre.
From ME1 from ME2 you went from Ashley in fairly bulky space suit armour to Miranda in skin tight spandex with a little breather oxygen mask... it was the dramatic change, the shock, to those looking for continuity in art style, props and sets that fired up the complaints in ME2. Without the long standing genre backdrop to soften the blow...
Just a thought.

In DA:2 setting you have to worry about being stabed or shot with arrows, which various weapons of that time armor was of limited usefulness, and in any case such wounds are easier to patch up than a gun shot. A ball of metal the size of your pinky can do what having your legs crushed and a few arrows might not. The other dangers are Magic, and well being Frozen or set on fire, not a whole lot armor can do to help with that. Though be nice if we had some plate armor or such, and if the Darkspawn didn't look like the ICP when they all turn old.

Thats their starting armor, once you start getting more into the game you will be able to upgrade your companions armor.PsychoWARD23 wrote...
Even if you don't count Isabella (who is the obvious "culprit"), almost everyone else is hardly wearing armor at all.

Which is possibly true, but that it's not new doesn't make it any less of a bad idea.BobSmith101 wrote...
Because it was already done in ME2 it was not new so less people complained.
I really object to this unique look thing, particularly since it appears that Hawke can't have a single look that doesn't change over time if he wants to remain as effective as his companions do.
I don't like how the rules of the setting apply differently to different people.

People complained. They complained alot. Where you been?
I didn't get Origins until November, so I hadn't been paying attention to DA2 for a while.

Keep saying it. You won't change people's minds by being quiet.Blastback wrote...
Hated it in ME2, hate it now. But I've said my piece.
