So almost everyone complained about the squad "armor" in ME2, yet I don't see those complaints for DA2

Myself I can se the good in this. No more dressing my companions in ugly armor because it gives better defence then the nice looking one or having the whole team look the same. Or switching armor everytime you switch character if you got a superarmor.
But sure, it does take some of fun out of looting since you will only have use for few of the things.

Me neither... I actually think it's a good idea. It completely removed the tedium of inventory management, so I could focus on, you know, actually playing the game. I'm pretty happy that's the direction DA2 has gone as well. The one concern I did have was in regards to accessories, and whether or not we can equip our party members with them. Turns out we can, so I'm pretty contented at the moment :-)

I still stand by my opinion that they are just cutting corners. Artistically distinguishable excuse up to eleven.
There were like what, 8-9 armor models in DA:O? Altering the models with slightly distinct features for each companion could do the rick.

Didnt help one bit YET
But its not like im going to stop
I remember an article from the ME2 people who said removing inventory was a huge mistake
I hope that the same thing happens from DA2 to 3
That someone is going to come in and say, you know removing companion armor was our biggest mistake

armor for underwear parties.
I found updating everyone's equipment in
Origins and Mass Effect extremely boring.

Now everyone gets unique outfits and presumably stats that play to their strengths.

Assuming the game knows what their strengths are. We control their stats and talents and even their behaviour - aren't we a better judge of what armour they need than the game is?RPGamer13 wrote...

By what standard could you possibly define inventory management as not being part of gameplay?Ajwol Semreth wrote...

I happen to think it's an enjoyable part of gameplay, but I don't see how anyone could deny that it's gameplay at all. And yet you just did that.

Well I'm waiting until I play the game. It's possible, however unlikely, that the implementation will be such that I like it.Sylvius the Mad wrote...

Hated it in ME2, hate it now. But I've said my piece.
Sides, I get the feeling Bioware will be a little more receptive to critisism then.

I have brought up the same argument with items maching my preferred playstyle for the characters, all I got were "this is BoWare's game" answers in return.

Different people enjoy different parts of gaming. I agree with Ajwol, I disliked what I considered to be the tedium of micromanaging my companions. This change gives me the flexibility and freedom to only worry about saving armors for my main character, rather than hoarding every piece out of fear that it be .002% better than my allies' current gear.
