get the dagger&ranged weapon hotfix(adds DEX bonus to dmg, wich the game only does STR formula) and you will love it 2x more.

@ Astro_88: Rogues can do some massive damage, more specifically the dual-wield spec. Keep in mind, strength and dexterity is required for a rogue as there aren't any good high-end daggers (that I have seen).

There are several skills that are needed for a great dual-wield character: momentum, tainted blood (I believe this increases attack speed, yes?), dual-wield mastery (the skill that allows your character to use two mainhand weapons), and haste (optional but I find it amazing). Three out of the four skills here increase attack speed; this combined with poisons and other weapon procs like paralysis runes make rogues beastly.

Remember to increase strength and dexterity fairly equally. My first character was a DW rogue, my second is a DW warrior, essentially the same. I have over 40 str and dex, almost 300 hp at lvl 16. This warrior is running at a steady 55% of the party damage, with about a 25% crit. rate. So all in all, very fun.

A 3 rune slotted Crow dagger can be quite formidable as a weapon if you get the right runes put into it by the blubbering savant...

Enchantment.... (clap clap) ooooh, enchantment.

And I love playing a rogue. Go to camp and drop off everyone then head into town for some additional forms of entertainment can be a refreshing stray from the standard game story line.

Haha, I thought the same for a while, then I saw Zevran using a sword/dagger and it sparked some ideas.

Swords have lower armor penetration than daggers, still trying to balance armor penetration vs. straight damage input. Any thoughts or ideas about this?

Thats a good point regarding str and dex, right now, Im increasing my dex and cunning. I might have to play with str/dex

@Flipside8466: Well, so far I have gone for straight damage output. I'm probably going to make another DW character after this one to optimize this build. Ill look into armor penetration then, but the only characters that my rogue and warrior have had trouble with (armor wise) have been the templars in the circle of magi. Those guys have massive armor, killed my dps.

A couple of spring traps laid in front of the door and 2 frozen bombs took care of the templars. I did the same strat on the demon/templar combo. I also lay spring traps in front of my mages. I am running Shale (tank), me (rouge, no specialization yet), Morrigan (set her tactic to just freeze the **** out of mobs), Cold weapon, and heal then Wynn set up for heals, offense buff and fire weapon. Sick dps from my rouge....
