You have to use a digital camera to take a picture of your TV (a smartphone camera, like an iPhone, will work too but mine with my iPhone didn't come as as well).

It's not too hard. First, get your Hawke in a dialogue where the "camera" is zoomed in on their face and isn't moving around. Get as close to your TV as you can while still getting the what you want in the picture. Take several pictures, because if you move, it will be blurry. Have your computer nearby to download the pictures from your camera. Use a free software like Picasa to edit and crop the photo, and then upload it to a free picture-sharing website like Photobucket.

It might take a few tries, but I've managed to get pretty decent shots of my Hawkes (and Wardens and Shepards) this way. Here's an example:

I used jandwivey's Bethany face from their "iveys hawke family" mod under family 4 as my Hawke's face. For the hairstyle I used a modified version of beeto's "DA2 Hairstyles" mod, where I removed only the piercing. And motseer's "TnT Underarmors" for the armor.

I know with my Hawke, I couldn't stop fiddling with her until she was just  right ... probably main reason it took me so long to complete game -- couldn't stay out of Emporium or off of Nexus!!

I tried to make him look like someone you'd find on the street, not anyone who'd be outstandingly prominent in your memory.

to sakera: I spent almost 2 hours in character creator with him, trying different hairstyles, skin complexions, tattooes, I wanted him to look a bit younger (around 20 years old, I am not sure if I did it but...)...final result is quite good..I wouldn´t be able to do that without modders and their great jobs...Nexus is really helpful..

to Rak72: all of my male Hawks use same Sebastian´s preset, Akin and Beleryah are my best..

my latest, Morriel Hawke.  She's a blood mage with an attitude problem who does whatever it takes to get the job done, including usually siding with the templars so they have no excuse to bother her.  Anders hates that.  While I love playing sarcastic Hawke, usually, this is my first aggressive Hawke, and I gotta say, some of the responses are EXACTLY what i would say...rofl....

she will NOT be toyed with!
