To quote Anders in Awakenings, " ah, I didn't do it'. What I did was use a mod called Fabled Weapons Collection, it's just a replacer mod for some in-game weapons. And for those of us with Sunnie's mod, we can buy them right away. Find them here:

http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=2842

Tren, sharp eye! I saw that too, but thought it looked cool, so I'm using it!

Oh yeah I know you didn't. I saw that on the Nexus too but my override folder is fast approaching three gigs...so I thought I'd give it a rest for a bitPosted Image

P.S.  after you said you'd be rivalmancing Fenris with your blood mage...i'm thinking that might be pretty interesting.  I might try that with my evil lady.Posted Image

My override folder if pretty full. I have sub-folders to keep things tidy. And just to let people know, in case they were thinking of using the GFF editor to keep a sibling. It does STRANGE things. The game now thinks my mage is a rouge. I had to remove the restrictions off the armor and weapons to get her mage stuff. She can still pick and use spells, she can also sense traps. When her specialization trees popped up, they are for rouges. So unless I can figure things out, she can't be a Blood Mage. She can be a Mage Assassin. You know, that might be fun! I'm keeping her!
Sorry for the wall-o-text!

EDIT: Don't you love when you think you messed up and it turns out awesome! Zhaneele can cast spells AND duel wield ! I am now calling her an Arcane Rouge.

LOL that's funny! There is a mod on Nexus that keeps Bethany/Carver whichever you want but the game does weird things, like thinking your class is the other (To match the sibling alive, Mage for Carver, Warrior/Rogue for Bethany). I like the concept though of her being a 'Mage Assassin'. Were you able to get her (advanced) spells back or do you have to use the rogue trees and keep what spells you had to start with?

I haven't been able to get her advanced mage spells back ( force, blood ), but I can still get new spells from the other spell trees. I picked Assassin for her advanced tree. I'm thinking she can throw some long range spells, then go in for the kill with her blades! I'm actually having quite a bit of fun with her!

sorry to hear you're still under the weather Raz. Just make sure to get lots of rest in between gaming. That outfit is so pretty on Maria. I love dark/black colors (for my darker characters) white/light blue for my good guys.

Gawain's outrage at Kelder's attacks against innocent elven children meant the pervert was doomed to die the moment his corrupt father sent the Hawke after his son.
Posted Image

But he still found something to lighten the mood afterward. All things considered, everyone was happy to keep Kelder dead...well everyone but the Magistrate...and maybe Kelder. I chose the "sarcastic response" because I didn't like the aggressive. I tend to think Gawain is sort of a tactless 'troll' in his humor.

ROFL Looks like you're trying to launch the ogre into orbit! I love your action shots, Tren, they are always interesting to see and read!

I love that quest too LadyS and it's so satisfying to make the bastard squeal when you pull a dagger on him! I also used those clothes for Issa before i found Garments of the Pirate Queen which are a lot flashier...but suit my aesthetic soul better.

Trying Legacy at the end of Act 1 just prior to Deep Roads...will let ya'll know how that turns out...

@Lady - Absolutely LOVE the idea of an Arcane Rogue....listen to Lady and make it happen BW. HA!

@Raz - Great shots of Maria.

@Trenete - Love the action shots, as always. Have a nice holiday, and see you in 2012.

@Sylvan - I actually took my Zander Hawke through Legacy in Act 1 (first time to ever do Legacy in that Act). I actually really enjoyed the banter with Carver....it was different than what I had heard before, and from a story standpoint, I thought it actually worked quite well. One hiccup; tried to fight Mavernis (whatever thehell his name is...Secret Boss, heehee) on Normal....I, and my whole team were a big pile of goo in 5 short minutes. Ran again on Casual; did finally beat him, but was down to just Carver, and the fight seemed to take forever. Still, I really did like doing Legacy in Act 1. Will probably do it again with Mari (DW Rogue).

So far, yea Malvernis was the toughest fight. Fortunately I play on the PC and can use mods.

You do get different dialogues (I'm going with Bethany) and she talks about the darkspawn and how much she hates having to deal with those. I rarely make her a GW anymore. Making her a warden is no gift, she's miserable (though she accepts it in the end). Carver does much better in them, finding a purpose other than just getting out of big brother/sister's shadow. And, once you break the Circle at the end, she's free anyway. And her convo after doing Malcolm's quest is very different when she's still free of the Circle/Wardens.  I'm looking forward to the convo with Mum and Bethy afterward.

Not too good with action shots (I never seem to catch the good ones). Here's Gawain battling Malvernis though.
Posted Image

Another action shot.  I use the Simple Summoning Mod (Bethany as a spirit healer replaces Dog when you summon).  Can't control what she does but her program is quite nice, I think she puts up a healing aura and does glyphs in addition to staff (ranged) attacks.  Made the above battle a ton easier.  She only appears in her GW togs though, which i guess is okay, keeps her distinctive from your real sis and I can imagine it's an alternate reality Bethany that Hawke is able to summon to his/her aid.

Great screenies, Sylvan.  I completely agree with your assessment of GW Bethany.  Unless it fits with a particular storyline I am creating, I tend to leave her out of the Deep Roads, to end up in the circle.  I have let her die before in the DR's (once by accident; first run ever, and once on purpose, again for RP reasons.)  Carver I normally let become a GW, but the only to Templar runs I have done, was with Carver as a Templar.

Anders wigs out if you bring him into Legacy this deep. Corypheus didn't realize though that Anders was just riding shotgun in his own body.
Posted Image

And Gawain tried to put a halt to the situation in his usual tactful style...
Posted Image

Which, needless to say just ended up in bloodshed anyway (which is kind of how Gawain wanted it, I think). He dislikes Anders immensely seeing him as all the things his father warned Bethany to avoid. He even thanked Hawke for the ass whuppin'.
Posted Image

Gawain "ends" the threat that is Corypheus (though I don't think Hawke does, I think he just body swaps).

Posted Image

Never going to get that smell out of his clothes/hair...

Posted Image

Later, he wears a new set of armor he picked up in the Tower, and shares a quiet moment with Bethy and Mum, sharing memories of Malcolm.  This is all I have left to do in Act 1, now it's off to the Deep Roads. Bethany will be left behind with Mother.

Posted Image

MotA will wait for Act 3, when Gawain is "Basalit-an".  You get additional lines.

Great new shots from Lady and Sylvan.

Fenris - "Hawke...uppy!  Carry me, I'm tired"
Hawke - "GEEOFFME, Fen!  Go kill something....."

Ok, so here is my latest Hawke Jaxis, sarcastic two handed warrior.

Such a nice, upstanding boy!

So many of the action screenshots that all you lovely people post, are just begging to have quotes with them. LOL.

I would have to agree with the stubble...so it is staying.  That is until he makes his fortune.  Then he will want to look the part of a noble.  He just strikes me as the type.  Meh, we shall see. Posted Image

Stubble is sexy when done right and Jax has just enough! I like him! And I love the Nathaniel Howe style hair!

Gawain is keeping his whiskers, irregardless of his status. It's just...part of him...

Stubble, Isabela approves +15

That was just for fun, for the real deal he's romancing Merrill soon.  Hey, it's been a long 4 years in Kirkwall without any female company (aside from the Blooming Rose).

Love the screenshot.  I definately see your Gawain keeping the stubble.  Jaxis just loves playing whatever role his current status holds.  He's very theatrical, I'm guessing.  Posted Image

Except I overlooked one of the steps to getting Basalit-an and had to go back to Act 1 to speak to the Arishok and redo the Deep Roads...And I had done about half of Act 2...*hangs head*
