Going to hazard a guess that Fenris says that line after you confront the apostitute in the Rose? (only because the top and bottom pics look like they are from that quest). I can't recall if i ever took him with me in there. The first act is full of "Max out their approval values" manuevers on my part and I don't bring him along usually for that quest.

So I played Gwen a little this morning.  Got past all the initial 'meet and greet quests' of the companions.

Fighting slavers?  Just another average day for Hawke.


This line of Fenris' always makes me laugh.  (In regards to Hawke saying to Merrill "Marethari didn't tell me you were a mage")


I really enjoy the humor in the game, lots of little hidden nuggets and the main reason Varric is my favorite companion.  It's also Isabela's huge appeal to me as well.




So far, she will be romancing Fenris (rivaled), but I don't know if I will finish with him or switch to someone else.

And it's much too quiet here.  ME3, Star Wars and Skyrim seem to have killed the thread

sylvan, yup, he say's that in the Rose! I have been taking a break from DA2 and have been playing Origins. So, have an elven mage! I'll start back up with DA2 soon enough.

So, I've been working on a King Cousland importable most recently. Gawain has finished 3 treaties and has only Redcliffe/Ashes (my favorite of the 4) left. I plan on romancing Leliana and hardening her and marrying the Snow Queen (thanks to Cmessaz, it won't mess up my romance). Alistair will be a Grey Warden forever so he will be able to find happiness somewhere out there in the wide world instead of shackled to a throne he doesn't want.

Leliana sings. This is prior to cementing the romance, Gawain has done the ambush portion of her side quest, just hasn't confronted Marjolaine yet. I imagine this is the moment he fell in love with her.


and confronting Marjolaine. However, right after this scene played, my game crashed (I get a lot more crashes with DAO--I imagine it's all the mods I have installed). So I will have to do the fight again.


After I finish this (still unsure if I will take it past the ending of Origins into Awakening or just end with the coronation day), I will be redoing William's story in DA2.

Using my King Cousland import to play William.  I'm about a third of the way done in Awakenings but imported the latest save (out of curiousity's sake to see what carries over).  Got really burned out on Origins and wanted to play DA2 again.  I'll be finishing Gawain out to witch hunt I think but for now, it's time to pull out Hawke for a bit.  Got a few snappies too.   He's going to be an aggressive (maybe forces) mage?  Unsure yet, right now he's only level 4 and I haven't even picked up Aveline in Kirkwall though he's met Varric so far.

This line could apply to Hawke, but its William speaking to Carver.  One of the fun things about playing a male mage is the pissing matches between the two Hawke brothers are so amusing to watch.

I have been trying to finish up three different DAO play throughs (god, why do I always do that). I am about 2/3 of the way through with my one and only Mage (F!Amell; I really don't like playing as a mage in DAO, but was determined to finish at least ONE). As soon as she gets through DAO, I'll play just enough Awakenings to get the Nathaniel quest in DA2 with that import, and then start up a new Hawke. I'm missing my Hawkes. Been playing so much ME, ME2 (won't play me3) and DAO lately, I am actually forgetting things about DA2. Could make a new run through quite fun.

Thanks, Cold, I pretty much use the same face preset for all my guys, just changing a few lines and hair color.  And, yea that's why I did the King Cousland (up to getting Nathaniel/Sigrun), just so I had a different play with other permutations for William from my Queen and Surana imports. This will be the first time I see if my friend's mod works to the end though (She fixed the flag that should keep Leliana with you as a mistress on a King run if you harden her, something that was broken in Bioware's game) so I will be finishing the run out to Witch Hunt, but I had to start playing DA2 again, I missed the Hawke family. I consider that and IRS Alistair must have mods for DAO, the only two that (if my computer died) I must have for my game.

Got Aveline, picked up Fenris and will be doing Anders next, then it's off to pick up Merrill.

I don't have any sisters, but I imagine Aveline would act pretty much like an older sister to Hawke, something he didn't grow up with.  Moments like this would be both heartwarming and weird I think because he wouldn't be used to having someone like her around.

I had sisters and all are younger, so I love to play with Bethany . Aveline could be a good sis for a Humorous hawke even lead hawke in certain situation (Qunari assaults for instance)

William is almost completely aggressive (he even told mom to suck it up and get moving when Bethany died), taking it to the point of he often says the wrong thing at the wrong time.

The first robes are "Vow of Pride", available on Nexus.  The second robes mod is a Malcolm's Bequest recolor I got a long time ago off Nexus.  Unsure if it's still there or not, I don't see it, and it may be removed. 

I don't have any sisters, just one (dead) older brother and 2 younger ones, so i was the lone girl in the family.  I think that's a big part of Aveline's appeal to me since she acts like the older sister I (am--I'm very protective of my younger brothers) and never had for myself.

And because i grew up in a family of boys, it's probably one reason I love Carver so much.  The relationship with Bethany is sweeter, but the one with Carver feels more 'realistic' to me.

Despite that Carver's refuse to help hawke, his smile give more than a warm welcome, also reveal what he learned for being a warden. Carver was grown up.

Yea, I love how Carver grows up and grows into his own as a warden, finally out of the Long Hawke Shadow he had spent his entire life in previously. Again, another reason I prefer Carver over Bethany. I love them both but the relationship between Hawke and his little brother just 'feels' more realistic.

So, playing William is turning into Sausage fest with his all guy crew. Well, I can think of worse fates than staring at handsome guys for long periods of time. Isabela approves too. Lucky b*tch.



Action shot. William will be using the earth/lightning line of spells (to be different).  Tried getting a decent action pose.  This was the best I could do without blood spatters all over too.  Looks like he took an arrow to the casting arm.  He's using Daddy Hawke's robes and staff, at least till he picks up Legacy's key.



In Act 1 I still imagine there aren't many amenities at Gamlen's house, so he still is kinda scruffy.  I think the first thing he will do when he moves into his estate in Act 2 is get a shave.  Probably keep the hair, I like Nathaniel's hair on him, but getting a shave to trim himself up will be in order I think.

Hawke and Merrill.  I found a mod that gives her the same outfit Marethari wears (and is more faithful to her original attire in DAO).  Just as a change of pace thing to put on her.  I'll be romancing Isabela, then switching to Merrill after I do her act 2 quest.  In my head, William feels too betrayed when Issa runs off with the book--even though she comes back--and it ruins their relationship.  Merrill will be the one who picks up the pieces afterward.  I know the timeline the way it's presented doesn't allow that, but I do what I must to RP the story i want in my head.



BTW, William is the only Hawke I have actually written a fanfic about.  He was the first Hawke to rival Anders thoroughly, and I was so inspired by that, I had to write it up in a story.
