Oh god, I've missed this thread. I'll post my hawke. He is a blood mage, with some attitude issues. His face is a slightly modified canon hawke (I think I used a chargenmorph mod or something like that to have the default hawke available to edit in the presets).

Lovely Hawkes @Sister Goldring (fantastic names for your Hawkes as well ), and @Nightshade715.

I still need to finish out three different play throughs that I have started, but Harley gets first crack, since she is the furthest along. Been wrapped up in Dragon's Dogma though (and even after an embarrassing amount of hours played), I am still loving it. Once work calms down a bit though, and the DA:I release date gets closer, I'll wrap up a few of these play throughs. Or get lazy, and fill them out in the Keep. lol!

Okay. I never thought I would actually do something like this, so I'm really, really nervous about it...

But before I go completly insane due to all the countless hours of working and starring at him just to end up being unsure again, I think I need some fresh sets of eyes here*sigh*

I guess, overall  I really like how he turned out at the end. But still...Argh, I don't know. Maybe I just like frustating myslef. >.<

So, any opinions? Keep him or tweak him (...again)?

 

I know he's nothing special and there's no reason anybody should care at all, but I guess it's worth a try. As you can probably tell, this is not easy for me. So, thanks in advance for anyone who puts up with me and my awkward posts. I really appreciate it. =)

Actually, I don't know. Maybe there is no problem at all. But I worked so many days on him and tweaked him so many times, even restarted a couple of times, that I'm not sure anymore, that I'm the right person to judge the result. He's a character I'm really attached to, too. So, I'm probably to involved with him by now, that I don't trust myself to even see any possiable problems or flaws or whatever in how he ended up looking. I guess, I just need an unbiased look at him.

It verry well may just be my inner critic, who doesn't want to shut up about it. And it doesn't help, that I'm a very quiet person who generally has some issues approaching people about, well, almost anything, I think. As ambarassing as that may sound.^^

I'm glad you like the nose. It was one of the parts I worked the hardest on to get it right and one of the trickiest, too. So it's nice to hear it worked out well. Sometimes I do think there is something about his eyes that seems to be off, though, but I can never really tell what. Other times I think he's totally fine, so, maybe it's really just me (being picky).

I love subtly crooked noses.  I've been staring at his eyes and I think I can see what you mean. They have an uncommon shape and look slightly slanted or something, with the nose side higher than the ear side (such an eloquent description. Ahem  ), but it might also be due to his low brow and the camera being located below face level and aiming upward. I still think he is a very good-looking Hawke, though, and I don't think the particular shape of his eyes is a bad thing. You could browse through different eye presets, but my usual reaction at doing that is recoil in horror, so I doubt you will end up with a better alternative.

I can see where you're coming from with your description. You might be on to something there, too. And if it's really just the slanted look their giving off than I might be able to do something about it. So I guess I'm going to try it out and see what happens.^^

Both versions looked pretty good to me. I'm not sure I could tell a difference between the full face shots. Do you have a profile for the second option? Anyways, he looks like he will animate well and look good doing so. I would say stop right there and enjoy him in the game.

Maybe these help a bit, but as I said, I don't think there's that much of a visiable difference anyway. And yeah, I think, I'm going to leave it at that. Otherwise I'm probably never be able to finish him.^^ He turned out really well afterall and I'm really looking forward to enjoy him in the game.

You can still take a look at it, if you want. It's still there in my first post further up the page. There isn't much of a difference anyway. It was just something with his eyes I wasn't sure that it looked right.

 

And the armors  you can find on the Dragon Age 2 Nexus site. I'll pm you a link if you like.
