The cheek shallow/ful dial is missing, the magnitude of mouth up/down is significantly reduced for some reason, and in general everything needed to be tweaked slightly, but I had very little trouble recreating satisfactory versions of my demo Hawkes in the game.

Why the hell did they remove the cheek shallow/full slider? That makes no sense!

Edit: I bet it has something to do with the beards. Bah! Maker, I hope they release a toolset...

Going for a second rant on this subject.

But.. There's a distinct lack of Blonde Hawkes in this thread, and after trying the CC on my partners retail version of the game, I understand why. What the eff is wrong with the blonde shades in this game? There's what, 2 blonde shades? One looks basically grey in dark light, which is 90% of the game (hello high buildings of Kirkwall. Thank you for f*cking the light over <_<), and the other looks a mousey brown 90% of the game due to lighting issues.. again.

This has always bugged me. I love Bioware as a company. They've developed some of the most engrossing games ever, yet they always fail (in my opinion) on one of the most important aspects of a game, the CC.


I think I actually prefer DA:O's CC.. and that's saying something. I majorly disliked that one too, but atleast it could be modded. sighhh..

Hm, first Bioware game I've been able to make a decent looking male character, so yay.

Is it me of are the jowls of the male CC messed up as all hell? Even with the jaw width slider all the way down it makes all beardless, non-prominent cheekbone Hawkes look like they have the mumps.

Alith, thanks for that awesome guide. Any chance you could update it to reflect the Character Creator in DA2 retail... which inexplicably has fewer features than the demo and does not line up to the slider guide you provided? I've been tryin for hours to create an attractive male hawke and have been failing miserably.

For some reason the chars faces look a little thicker in the cutscenes when compared to in-game (i.e. the last pic with the blood is a cutscene and her face looks a little puffy).
