See signature. And bye, ... don't let the door hit you on the way out. Oh and please do try not to fall over the stairs, they are a bit slippery lately and I'd hardly would want to clean up the mess.

Oh Come on! Would you stop warning them?! If you keep doing that then I iced the stairs for nothing! Do you want me resorting to blood magic to get my kicks?!

Oops, ... sorry. Will try to do better next time Posted Image

And for DocDVD:
There is plenty of space to voice ones concern in the Feedback-Topic solely created for such. And I am lately very disinclined to offer more empathy for people too stupid to use it.
That said, this entire topic is completely useless and does nothing but to crowd this section even more with stupid and useless topics. Seriously, if I'd be a moderator, I sent a PM stating he should use the Feedback-Topic, give out a warning about spam and then just delete those topics right away.

Weird. I've played through the demo a few times, and never had to kite. That's what taunt, mind blast, and evasion are for(depending on which class you are controlling). If that doesn't help, and you are still having trouble with the combat in the tutorial/prologue... well, there is a lower difficulty level in the final game.

As a side note, how is DPS "button mashing" but spammable heals isn't?

I was thinking about canceling my preorder. But then I was like, I'm not paying for it being shiped to the nerby shop... it's a signature edition, I'll probably make up my mind when it's ready for pick up. Trolololol.

I actually pre-ordered mutliple times, so that I can cancel it every time I disagree with a change and still make sure I'll get the game in the end; okay, i didn't. I, too am upset by the ridiculous heal cool-down, but i have learned in the past that I rather adapt my gaming style than miss a really epic game.

I think the OP is overreacting a bit and used bad tactics for the ogre fight. No need to be that rude tho...

Healing is broken in the demo yes but the healing spell will be better in the full game than in this old build and there is also the spirit healer specialization, you might want to reconsider...

Why do so many users mock people who voice a reasonable concern/feedback (with reasonable I mean without trolling or baseless ranting)?

But its not a reasonable  concern, she criticises the game for not being able to spec a viable healing mage when the spec spiritual healer is not available in the demo. How is that reasonable? Plus there's the fact that she was obviously just compelled to start a new thread to emphasize the fact that she had cancelled her order, its like look at me look at me.

In hopes that it reaches the ears of a corporation that puts money above all else

The only reason to make these stream line changes is to pull in more customers

If enough people drop out then the stream lining is a failure

It is not trolling

It is not against board rules

Maybe we doing even have to wait for DA3, a cool down could be changed by a patch

Spell can be altered in 1.01

The squeaky wheel gets the patch, the quiet RPGers get the silent boot to the curb

So sorry you're leaving based on the simple fact the demo is just a PREVIEW, and that viable healing is quite possible in the full game.

Sorry you don't see the other merits of the game that the demo shows off, and hope you have better luck with the next BioWare title.

tldr; cool story bro

Yes, how dare BioWare make a game that's more streamlined, more engaging, and overall, more fun!

We should boycott them until they make it a carbon copy of DA:O.

Oh. Right. Except that boycotting WON'T have that effect, in fact, it'll only have a small dent on EA, who will then punish BioWare for it, just because people like you don't like change.

Do me a favor. Stop talking.

It is not trolling, ... it is spamming. And spamming is against the ToS.
And yeah, the sqeaky wheel will recieve attention and may get patched up, whilst the silent wheel that nontheless is faulty will just break someday, true.
But the wheel doesn't need to shriek in order to recieve attention.

Im not boycotting the game, but I will keep telling them about the RPGers they are alienating in their almighty search for the bigger sales report

And no, i wont stop posting, i wont stop talking, no matter what

It's not like we have an obligation to either of them. If they don't make the games we want , we go elsewhere. Which is part of the problem .Bioware don't have anyone in competition with them, though it seems plenty of other unknown devs are narrowing the gap more and more each release.

Playing the demo i was unable to beat it with a mage class until i ran around the entire time kiting the ogre in one very large circle until the rest of the party finally killed the ogre.

OMFG! The "button" mashing for your auto-attack is a toggle in the full game! What a goober! Seriously, the ONLY combat difference from DA:O to DA:2 is that instead of auto-attack you click your basic attack. And guess what? Its been confirmed that you can toggle it back to auto-attack.

So combat is the SAME! It just looks faster due to animation improvements.

Then you judge the viability of an entire chain (Healing) based on playing the first three levels? OMG! Are you serious?

That is just... lame.

Oh lord... I say this as a person who counts BG and BG2 as two of his favourite games of all time and who has played just about every Bioware game through at least once, but Bioware hardcore fans have the potential to be some of the most easily-annoyed, fickle, narrow-minded and inconsistent people I've met. This isn't entirely aimed at the creator of this thread, but just about all the snivelling complaining I've seen around the internet recently.

Not only could a bunch of the main criticisms be easily levelled at DA:O too, the kind of clueless, autistic desire to just state things like you've cancelled a preorder just blows my mind. Some of their fans consider BW to be innovative even though they've been releasing the same game with a different coat of paint since BG1, and when they do actually innovate more, like with the Mass Effect series and DA2, many of their fans **** in their diapers and throw their toys out of the pushchair...

you could'nt kill the ogre as a mage without kiting, well then you suck, i did fine, just pot up with your melee dudes and nuke the f*ck out of the hurlocks and ogre, mage was the easiest, i had more trouble as a warrior, and if u wanna cancel your pre order u don't need to make a topic, it's an individual decision imo :) i just love the demo, the battle speed is much to my liking :)
