. I may possibly look at the game in the future once a fix has been made either mods or developer where the healer is a viable build

that is why the demo was a bit of a fail.
ppl play it w/o knowing that is a demo and many thing are locked, then complain w/o knowing that what they want is already in the full game. <.<

Why does everyone think they need to make a thread about why they cancelled a pre-order?

They think it makes them speshul.

Oh lord... I say this as a person who counts BG and BG2 as two of his favourite games of all time and who has played just about every Bioware game through at least once, but Bioware hardcore fans have the potential to be some of the most easily-annoyed, fickle, narrow-minded and inconsistent people I've met. This isn't entirely aimed at the creator of this thread, but just about all the snivelling complaining I've seen around the internet recently.

Not only could a bunch of the main criticisms be easily levelled at DA:O too, the kind of clueless, autistic desire to just state things like you've cancelled a preorder just blows my mind. Some of their fans consider BW to be innovative even though they've been releasing the same game with a different coat of paint since BG1, and when they do actually innovate more, like with the Mass Effect series and DA2, many of their fans **** in their diapers and throw their toys out of the pushchair...

Since KOTOR anyway.

Inovation is great. But when you do it with an established series, people will get annoyed. A lot of people are going to be disapointed with DA2 because it's so different from DA.

Why do so many users mock people who voice a reasonable concern/feedback (with reasonable I mean without trolling or baseless ranting)?

If somebody feels strongly enough about a game he/she cared for to start a topic about not buying it (after a demo), that should be noted (by the devs).

After all, this is a feedback forum (positive and negative)...

Probably something to do with the feeling of self-importance these people have for intentionally skipping the stickied feedback thread that has been specifically made for them to voice their feedback

Lol, with mage the Ogre dropped like sack of stone. All you had to do is put your tank on Ogre, let her use taunt whenever it became available and wipe out all the adds with the rest of your party before taking on Ogre. Few use of healing potions when things got tough and heal from mage and done.
What I have found funny is how most of people who complain that game has been dumbed down have problems killing the Ogre when all you need to do is use few simple tactics.

OMFG! The "button" mashing for your auto-attack is a toggle in the full game! What a goober! Seriously, the ONLY combat difference from DA:O to DA:2 is that instead of auto-attack you click your basic attack. And guess what? Its been confirmed that you can toggle it back to auto-attack.

So combat is the SAME! It just looks faster due to animation improvements.

Then you judge the viability of an entire chain (Healing) based on playing the first three levels? OMG! Are you serious?

That is just... lame.

The battle system is faster tho, by alot in fact :) nevertheless it's an amazing demo imo :P

Im not boycotting the game, but I will keep telling them about the RPGers they are alienating in their almighty search for the bigger sales report

And no, i wont stop posting, i wont stop talking, no matter what

And when they have enough money to buy a toilet made of solid gold, I'm sure they'll print this post out and wipe with it.

Truth of the matter is: they're going to make what they're going to make.  They're not going to suddenly change their mind because of the bridge-dwellers in their forums.  There's an appropriate section of the forums for demo feedback and if you're that dissatisfied, post it there.

If you liked Origins more, play it and stop with the whining about DA2.

The funniest moments on these boards is after release where the "hopeful" people come back and scream because they expected the full game to be somehow different.

There'll be some of those.  Then there'll be people who are pleased that they're getting exactly what they expect, or possibly better.  There will also be people who were figuring it was going to be bad, decided it is, and continue to post about how bad it is.

People have opinions about a subjective thing.  Shocking, truly.

Thats fine but they don't then act with maturity and try an understand why changes have been made they just go off half cocked raging about the changes.

You do realise you are more likely to annoy other posters than make a difference in future Bioware games?

There are plenty of reasons you could have given to cancel your preorder but...even I have to say, I mean, it might have been better to read up on the skill trees first before doing that.

So basically the demo is too hard so I'm cancelling my pre-order. Boo-hoo!

A shame your cancelling your order. Perhaps when the complete game is released with a few detailed reviews you might change your mind or perhaps not. Either way, hope you find another game to your liking :)

Interesting looks like some folks are on the interwebz with out adult supervision it is a judgment i make because only the narscisim of youth that would lead someone to believe that someone cares that they do not care. If i made a rant as some posts have been the replies would have merit unfortunatly for you this is not the case as what i posted was not anything but customer feed back.

It is called customer feed back and just because you do not agree with the post does not make it any less valid, and only shows the total lack of maturity and character of some folks from the responses. Just because you do not care does not mean you represent Bioware or thier bussiness interests, and if i ran a bussiness and a customer came to me and said i will not longer be using your services a good bussiness person would want to know why. I have no real way to contat Bioware bussiness executives to voice my dis pleasure at the direction the game apparently has taken other than the open for all game discussion boards.

So go away now and let the adults talk.

This patronising, pretentious put-down has just invalidated any point you might care to have made about valid customer feedback. Well done.

Why is everyone basing the whole game on a demo? For all we know the demo might have been constructed in a far later timeline before the game actually went gold. There's also a possibility changes were made during that time, then or even after. I pity those who cancelled their pre-orders...

Why could you not post this in the demo feedback thread? I think they actually read the responses there. Instead, you make a thread which only attracts trolls and very little discussion. And seeing your patronising post, it does not seem you were actually willing to discuss anything either.

EDIT: Not to mention, you are misinformed. Spirit healer is still in the game and it was a demo, you have yet to see the majority of the game's features.

You're what like 15? 17 at most? The way you stress the importance of age like its something that makes your opinion more valid makes me, and most people I'd guess, think that you've nothing of value to say. So A) You're young yourself, or B) You're really immature for your age.

Trollolololololol.

You keep saying this stuff about "feed back", but they have a thread for that already....that would be the place that they're looking...posting it in a new thread probably means it will be ignored...your post is invalidated by its location, not its content...

See the very fact that you chose to reply to those that have been flaming you and not to the people that really tried to give you a different point of view on the topic is the worst thing you could actually do.

They're probably doing it to rile you up (I am, anyways) and make you respond with a prissy, futile attempt to upset us in return, good thing you're not playing into-- Oh. Oh dear.
