Hmmm...overall, the game was pretty good, but the end was so incredibly disappointing...far too easy, the final boss was retarded to say the least and it was pretty anti-climatic overall. I'd say it's good for 40$.
Was Mass Effect 2 worth full price?

I think the PS3 version is worth full price because it has most of the DLC already on it.. I'd still pay full price for other systems but I wouldn't like paying 90 dollars for all ME2 content.

£40 for it on launch day, and I've sunk well over 300 hours into it, so yep, definitely worth the asking price!

I bought the collectors edition at launch and have been playing it ever since. Given the amount of time I've spent with the game, I'd say that the game was definitely worth full price.
Say what you will about "plot holes (I thought the plot was fine)," Mass Effect 2 is a fun game.

I thought it was worth paying full price for, heck I payed full price for a 360 version of the Collectors Edition ( atually my Collectors edtion cost teh same price as teh standard game ) as well as the PS3 version.
There's no denying ME2's obvious quality and it has improved all of my complaints about ME1. I just wish the main story was better. The first time I played through ME2 I thought it was teh best thing ever but later playthroughs highlight just how much the main plot was lacking. I also question certain things like teh planet scanning or why I am the only 1 who complains about the Hacking/Bypass mini games, games should be fun, the gamer should always be having fun or doing somthing exciting/engaging, ME2's mini games range from tedious to being barely tolerable but they are not fun and the game uses them far to often.

Anyone that says no is being silly, whether you personally liked ME2 or not the game is a 30+ hour experience with polished content and gameplay and is a year after release still having additional content released. I don't like Demon's Souls but you're getting your money's worth when you make that purchase, people need to learn to stop being completely subjective and answer the man's question.

Not a chance in hell.
If i'd known back then just how butchered and generic the ME2 system had been made, I would have rented it instead of buying it.

Pre-ordered, paid £36, and it worth every penny. After dragon age I was a bit worried, but ME2 renewed my bioware fanboyisim. Great gameplay, decisions that have impacts, interesting and life like characters, stellar graphics and lots of humour to be found. By no means do I think ME2 is perfect, it has its flaws, but it's still one of my favourite bioware games, and one of my favourite games of all time.
Also brought every story-based DLC, and all the armour+weapon packs
Warning-tangent rant
Just to clarify, I like DA: O, but I only rented a copy. It still had good characters and a good plot, but it seemed to be so focused on being "dark" and "mature" (no, blood flying everywhere and marketing the sequals with terms such as "bloody as hell" and "brutally satisfying" is not mature, just a little bit...strange) that it forgot what made bioware games great.
Even though ME2 was a bit like this, it still had oodoles of fun, great dialouge and enjoyable combat, which dragon age lacked, at least for the most part. One of the few things I prefer about ME1 was the generally upbeat atmosphere and fun of it. To me, Dragon age only offered a decent plot, lacklustre gameplay, and characters that are good, but by bioware standards not exceptional (Sten is epic though). The reason I can still enjoy Baldurs gate 2 and Kotor even whilst they are so outdated is because they are fun, not because they are "mature" or "bloodyl as hell."
Some of my dissapointment with DA: O is it being marketed as a "spiritual sucessor" to BG:2 as well.

well I am sure someone allready said that :
Mass Effect 2 was great, but THE PRIIIIIIIZE ... was just cool.
Anyway I bought all the DLC even thouse that I never realy used (2nd AP). Just as the tribute to game designers.
I would pay twice as much now when I know how good it was.

Worth the full price of $59.99 + $25 or so for more DLC? Yes.
Honestly, Mass Effect 1 and 2 are easily in my top 10 all time games.
Quite frankly I find it hard to believe anyone can say its NOT worth the full price. If you dont think ME2 was worth it, then I'd love to know what games you DO think are worth full price, as I'd find it hard to believe that you'd think any game is worth full price if ME2 isnt.
Great game, great series, and I'll have a preorder for the collectors edition of ME3 placed when its available.

i bought it full price on Steam ($50), and for $30 new on the 360 (after the price had come down)
would i resell it? nope
would i buy Mass Effect 3 for $60 on Steam? yes, tho i would not buy all PC games for $60

It was completely worth the full price to me. The battle system is far improved in ME2, I prefer the crew members to the first game (even if I liked the ones in the first game), and the two games combined are an excellent continuing story. I can't wait for ME3, I'm hoping to get it on release day.

I paid about $80 (USD) for the game plus DLC.
I completed ME2 10 times, and "Mrs. t-dave" has completed the game 3 times.
On a cost per hour basis:
13 playthroughs * 30 hours (average) = 390 hours
$80/390 hours = $0.21 dollars per hour
That's less than a quarter per hour of entertainment. Easily one of the best gaming investments I've made.

This.
I bought it day one, and was horrified to discover they'd taken a fine RPG and turned it into a really crappy TPS. I struggled to play it, but somewhere around when I realized that Quake's AI was an order of magnitude better, and the constant contradiction and nonsense in the story became glaring, I just gave up.
I really feel I was ripped off my $60.
I also really feel that Bioware's gone straight downhill since EA took over, quality has gone to crap and suddenly they're trying to imitate shooters instead of making RPGs.
I don't think they've got 3 years left.

Yes. I paid $60.00 for the game at launch and have gotten hundreds of playtime out of ME2. Definitely worth every penny. Hell, I would say it is a better value than most games at the 60$ pricepoint.
