1, Insert the Baldurs Gate 1 disk and custom install it and do the same with Totsc the expansion

2, Be sure to Cutsom install Baldurs Gate 1 and the Expansion (tales of the sword coast) and Tick all the boxs so you install all the additional content areas/movies and data

3, View the contents of the Baldurs Gate 1 Disk (view the disk as files/folders)

4, you should see some folders called "cd1,cd2,cd3,cd4 and cd5"

5, in each of those folders is a folder called "Data" and another called "Movies"

6, simply go into the cd1 folder and copy both the "Data" and the "Movies" folder to were you installed Baldurs Gate
EG: *i select the Data and Movies Folder* *click copy* *and paste it in E:\\Baldur's Gate*

7, it should ask you if you want to overwrite you click Yes

8, do the same thing for folders cd2,3,4 and 5
(it should hog up your pc and take awhile to copy the small files for some unknown reason)

9, when done copying the files from all the cd folders insert your Baldurs Gate Expansion disk (Tales of the Sword Coast) and there should be a folder called "cd6"

10, copy the contence like before into your baldurs gate folder

11, Download and install the patch linked here: www.brothersoft.com/games/baldur-s-gate-tales-of-the-sword-coast-patch.html

12, Try to play the game now, But if like me you still get a "Please Insert CD6" go to http://m0002.gamecop...durs_gate.shtml and download the "Badlur's Gate [ANY VERSION] INFINITYCRACKER v1.1"

13, copy the infinitycrack.exe to were you installed baldurs gate and run it, A small screen should flash for a second.

14, Remove your disk and try booting up the game, Enjoy the best RPG game of all time

extra notes: besure you copy the contents of the cd's in order from 1-6 and patch only After you have copyied the contents of the cd folders.

Disclaimer: I dont not encourage/promote using cracking software for anykind of illegal use, Only use the infinitycracker link provided if you have Legally bought a copy of Baldur's Gate and Only if you have any of the "Please Insert Cd1 or 2,3,4,5,6" message.

What location have you installed to?

What changes have you made to the config.ini file?

Well, this is recent. I have a Windows 7 64 bit laptop, and unfortunately, I can't run the setup.exe file. Or rather, I can, and nothing happens. I've tried with the physical disc first, and than an ISO, and neither work, meaning it's a computer problem. I've ran it in Compatibility mode (Windows XP SP3) with admin privileges, and again, nothing. UAC is, obviously, turned off.

Which disc are you referring to? I ask because most editions of BG1 had multiple CDs for the original + another for TotSC. If you are trying to install just the latter it won't work because it's only an expansion for BG1, not a game in its own right.

No, I had the 4 in 1 boxset. I actually managed to get it to work - had to install in safe mode, which allowed me to install it. It works just fine now, and I've managed to install Tutu as well, allowing it to use the BG II engine. Very useful, but for the fact that I can't actually create a mage due to some error in the files. Almost certainly going to cause problems later, but we'll see.

Hey thanks, I had the same problem, going to try installing in safe mode too, see if that helps.

Instert the BG disc (or disc 1 of you have the 6x CD version), wait for autorun, accept the UAC dialog asking permission, install as you would in XP. After that TotSC, exactly the same procedure.

If you are not an admin on this account you may have to start the setup.exe on the disc by right clicking and choosing  "run as administrator"

Only got the "not enough disc space, continue?" but that has been appearing since winXP. Don't forget patch to v5512 or you might get a "This version only works on US systems" error when you start the game.

http://www.sorcerers.../index_misc.php for official patches.

Good luck!

I got the Setup to work without going into Safe Mode, but I had to shut down all other applications, specifically Google Chrome. See this: http://social.biowar...61713/2#7890691
